Take a look at the recent review video made by Consumer Reports comparing the Droid X versus iPhone 4. Sure seems like Droid X is a bit better, especially if you consider in the network also.
Clearly, I think Droid X is much better phone with almost twice bigger screen, WiFi Mobile Hotspot feature up to 5 devices(which works better than a router), HDMI or DLNA output to HDTV, and better network on Verizon versus AT&T.
Also, AT&T is known to drop calls like crazy already, nevermind iPhone 4’s latest antenna reception problems. On the other hand, Verizon just rocks AT&T to the ground for more reliable voice and data.
I haven’t had a single dropped call on my Verizon phones this year btw while my friend’s new iPhone 4 dropped 10 times in a row within a 10 minute conversation.

No front facing camera
iPhone 4 = Winner!
haha, u r such a fanboy, can u think “outside” the box for once?
I like the Evo with its front & back cameras. How does the Evo compare to Droid X ?
Hahahahaha.
A Verizon rep told me the build of HTC phones are awful. He said that between the Incredible and Evo, they top off as the highest problematic phone released by Verizon in the past year. I find that hard to believe.
Becuase of this Motorolla is a “better hardware” company, therefore many think the Droid X is a better, more polished, more solid phone than the Evo.
Oh why I prefer the Evo over Droid X.
There is a built in “system-off” if you tamper with Droid X boot. It literally shuts the phone off indefinitely if you tamper or hack the boot system. Whereas I can install Android on my iphone on this phone I do not have full control.
NO, that’s a rumor spread by Apple fanboys, there is no boot tampering system on the Droid X: http://droidx.net/droid-x-news/droid-x-does-not-self-destruct-motorola-says/
Evo has a much better video capability in terms of “macro” photography/video. But the Droid X has a great camera too, I think for landscape mode, Droid X is a bit better, same specs though pretty much, 8 megapixel camera on the back. I still haven’t used my front cam other than blabbing to myself when I drink so… In reality, the front camera isn’t as useful unless your girlfriend lives 2000 miles away and you want to have long-distance phone s*x.
I have both HTC Evo 4G and Droid X, they are both very good I think, Evo 4G is a bit bulkier but does have a kickstand and if u get 4G, download speeds are around 3-5Mbps, great for tethering your computer to it.
