I saw this coming when I first about Steve Jobs telling customers, “Avoid holding it that way”.
Apple and Jobs needs to come clean about their hardware flaws with its antenna.
Clearly, it’s a simple matter, the two antennas, one for Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and the other for UMTS/GSM for network data/voice. When you short the two antennas with a human hand or anything conductive for the matter, they will interfere with each other. This is common sense, you don’t have take any college engineering classes (like I did) to understand what’s wrong here.
Note: There’s could be one method though to fix the problem, turn off bluetooth,wifi, and GPS while using voice/data. Well, that makes the phone useless I guess, doesn’t it?
This isn’t rocket science, I just can’t believe no single engineer at Apple thought this was actually going to work without any insulation. They must have the dumbest engineers working for Apple.
On top of that, Steve Jobs himself demonstrated the iPhone 4’s antenna flaw, right on his keynote.
Now, here’s what peeves most consumers and fanboys who usually rave about Apple’s products, Apple fail to acknowledge their engineering failure and to reimburse customers what they paid for.
What Apple should really do is recall all iPhone 4 units and fix the issue by either applying insulation on the antennas.
Apple still has a chance to be forgiven by the public if they start doing something about it now instead of telling people to buy iPhone 4 bumpers for additional $29.
Otherwise, this first iPhone 4 class action is only going to mark the start of many, many future class action suits.
And Steve Jobs, you are a great person but sometimes great people make mistakes. When you make mistakes, acknowledge it, don’t keep making your obvious wounds get bigger.
Look at David Letterman, how he “publicly” told on his own show the day after his affairs were in trouble while Tiger took a while to say “sorry”.
One word we want to hear from Apple and Steve Jobs, “sorry”. And if they can’t do a simple thing like that, they don’t deserve any of your hard-earned money no matter how many great products they make, regardless of whether they drop calls or not.

• Intentional Misrepresentation (APPLE and AT&T)
• Negligent Misrepresentation (APPLE and AT&T)
• Fraud by Concealment (APPLE and AT&T)
