You know how crazy I am about BBQ (as evidenced by my HD video of my friend’s medieval BBQ on Super Bowl every year), but did you know that you can make your own BBQ Pit in your backyard?
Perhaps this isn’t your typical BBQ to slow-roast some tri-tips but definitely, making this DIY BBQ Pit will make you feel like you are camping, perhaps get your family together for some nice medium-rare marshmallows.
Of course, on the other side of the spectrum, we also have the crazy portable BBQ racer and a very geeky PC BBQ grill.
Mankind has called the hearth home for the centuries, it’s true, but these days people are going ultra-retro and getting their heat from stone-walled pits set into the earth. And, why not? On cool summer nights, you can melt marshmallows and nibble s’mores while you lounge in an Adirondack chair, feet propped up on the rock ledge. So if you really want to light up right, do it in style. Take a few days to build your very own ring of fire.

This is a very clean looking backyard bbq. I’d love to put together something like this. I think it would be especially good for people who have a seasonal camp site or cottage. Bust out the marshmallows!
