Camping Hack – How to Make a Waterproof Firestarter using Leftover Lint!

Step 8 - Let Fire-Starters Dry

If you have been camping a lot in rain or snow, you know how hard it can be to start a fire.  Well, I guess there’s a way to make a “water-proof” firestarter using ordinary, leftover lint from your dryer.

This is also going to be an awesome emergency fire you can carry around while skiing or snowboarding too.

Using only household items you can make a 1 oz waterproof fire-starter that burns for 15 minutes. It’s perfect for camping, backpacking, or even your backyard fire pit. No need to buy fancy fire starter logs, here you’ll need to gather a few household items that would have otherwise been thrown in trash.
