I love popcorn, it’s one of my favorite snacks ever since I came to the U.S. when I was 9 years old. Back then in 1989, they didn’t sell microwave popcorn in South Korea. I think now they do but still, it’s not a favorite snack for Koreans and a lot harder to get than here.
Well, when I was going to elementary school here in the U.S., I remember all my friends would “steal” a bag of microwave popcorn from home and eat that for lunch while throwing away their smashed sandwiches. And I try copying that business model myself, hence my love for popcorn was born.
Anyways, if you get tired of making microwave popcorn filled with too much butter, you can also make popcorn from scratch yourself, just add butter (or your favorite oil) and corn kernels into a stove, heat it up, and voila.
Well, you can head over to Instructables here, there’s a great detailed guide for this.
Plus, if you eat a lot of popcorn like me (like every other day), you might save a lot more money and keep that fatty butter to a minimum.
