Circuit DIY – How to Make a Pure TTL Clock!

Usually, when you build a clock, you use a clock chip such as a DS1302 but in this example, Kenneth Finnegan shows us how to make a “pure” TTL clock without using any microcontrollers or timer chips.

I think this could be a great way to learn about circuits in general plus there might be some times where TTL chips can come in handy and lower your overall production costs.

The second half of my circuits and systems lab class this quarter has been an introduction to digital logic.  Unfortunately, over winter break my dad gave me the TTL Cookbook by Lancaster, which I then read a few times, so I’ve been spending the last four weeks of lecture catching up on my pleasure reading.
