LED DIY – How to Make an Awesome LED Night Light!

It’s true, you can go out there and buy  a cheap halogen-based night light for about a buck at your local dollar store.  But those things waste energy like there’s no tomorrow but if you have some time to kill, you might want to consider making your own LED night light such as the one featured here.  Not only are these LED night lights the “perfect” dimness for your perfect sleep, they also save at least 50 times more energy than your typical night light that doesn’t use LEDs.  Also check out my Light Orb LED project, which can be a great night light also.

Attach the jumper wire to the pins of our switching wires, connecting the button to the switching wires and allowing it to control the flow of electricity to the nightlight.  Screw or snap the top of the CD case into the bottom of the CD case, plug in your creation, fire up your new nightlight, and never again argue with your significant other over sleeping with the television on.
