I guess marshmallows in general don’t use any animal ingredients but Vegan Marshmallows could taste really good, even if you are not vegetarian.  It involves using soy instead of sugar and you might be interested in this “healthier” recipe.

I present to you this gift of marshmallow goodness that those of the strictest dietary preference and religious convictions can enjoy. It doesn’t matter if you are vegan, vegetarian, pescaterian, Presbytarian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist or Jedi.

    Eek! Marshmallows generally do use animal products. Gelatin is typically made from ground up cow or horse hooves. That’s what makes this recipe so great!

    OMG! Gelatin is made from the hooves of animals…that is what makes it gel!! Very disgusting to vegans.

    Oh didn’t know that, are there Gelatin made from non-animal stuff like seaweed right?
