Here’s a simple YouTube DIY for those of you who constantly upload videos to YouTube or simply having trouble, either timing out with the Basic Upload and whatnot.
I upload a lot of videos to my YouTube Channel at http://youtube.com/zedomax and over time I’ve found that the best way to upload videos to YouTube is to use their “Multi-upload” feature. You will need to install Google Gadgets for this to work but it’s way more stable than the Basic Upload plus you will be able to see the exact percentage on the progress of the download.
I know, this is a simple one but for those of you who don’t know it yet, it could be a time saver, especially if you have been uploading a lot of HD videos.
Here’s a screenshot of what it looks like:
You can also upload YouTube videos if you use Picasa, directly from the program, but I’ve found that the multi-upload works the best.

Do you have any suggestions for uploading YouTube when getting errors because of using a proxy? I am in China and have to use a proxy, however this prevents me from watching any videos on YouTube for longer than half a minute; and I get a time-out error after a minute in to an upload. Thanks!
