Guess what, I finally made it to Las Vegas, a day before CES 2010 Exhibition officially opens. The only “bad” part about the trip was that I got stuck in a room with really bad cellular broadband signals. Well, I might just have to ask the hotel for a room at a higher level, I think several big buildings are actually blocking the cellular signals here at Luxor. (Even the free hotel wired Ethernet is crap, as slow as my broadband card that doesn’t get enough signals.)
Nevermind my internet troubles, I am sorting to offline blogger tools like Zoundry and Google’s Offline Reader.
Anyways, Energizer is showcasing their new “eco” power solutions, I am sure they will soon get on the bandwagon with Duracell for in-car chargers too. I think this is a good step for them to take, especially with declining of disposable batteries these days, we need batteries that last longer with less impact on the environment.
Tomorrow I will be heading out to the show myself to take some high-res photos with my new Canon EOS 7D camera, in the meanwhile, please enjoy these from Engadget.
Our favorite offering was the new EnergiStick, which comes in both microUSB and mini USB varieties, and will keep your cellphone (or other micro/mini USB equipped electronic) charged for an additional 30 minutes. There’s also a new induction charging unit set to ship this summer for around $100. Finally, Energizer’s showing off its tree-hugging side with a new line of flashlights that employ a hybrid charging scheme — they use solar cells and have manual hand cranks.
