If you are looking to get a new wireless keyboard, you might want to research and make sure you get the right wireless keyboard for your needs.
For example, if you are going to be using your new wireless keyboard with your HDTV and you need a longer range than just a step away, you need to get a long-range wireless keyboard, preferably ones that run on 2.4Ghz.
So, in this review, let me list the best “short-range” wireless keyboard (which are much cheaper), and the “long-range” wireless keyboard:
Short Range Wireless Keyboards
Logitech is a brand I trust for most wireless mice/keyboards. This Logitech Wireless Desktop MK 300 keyboard/mouse combo is perfect for those of you who just trying to replace your cluttered desktop with wireless substitutes or for your laptop. This wireless keyboard definitely will work well for short-range such as within 6 feet or less. I wouldn’t get it for anything longer. But it’s cheap, reliable, and this can be a good choice for budget-minded short-rangers. Also see Logitech LX310, about the same with slightly different features.
Although I use a wired Microsoft mouse, I would highly avoid any wireless products from Microsoft. I have tried them and they simply suck, my last wireless mouse doesn’t even “sync” well with my mouse pointer. Yes, it’s that bad.
Long Range Wireless Keyboards
If you want long-range plus added keyboard ergonomics, then get the Logitech K350 wireless keyboard. The K350 has 2.4Ghz wireless plus a nice wireless USB dongle, which is super tiny and works well with any 2.4Ghz Logitech keyboard/mouse. (Also see the keyboard+mouse combo if you want to get a deal on a keyboard/mouse bundle.)
For long range media PC computing, you might want to get a wireless keyboard that has a touchpad attached to the keyboard. For example, if you are sitting on the couch and want to browse the web on your HDTV, you don’t want two separate gadgets. For that, there is this Logitech diNovo Edge Wireless Keyboard. My friend actually has one of these hooked up to his media PC and HDTV, these keyboards are simply awesome because they are sleek and works up to 30 feet via bluetooth. The battery-charging stand is nice too. This is probably the best long-range wireless keyboard out there for sheezy. (For Mac version, see this diNovo Mac version)
There’s also the Logitech diNovo mini, if you want a smaller keyboard with same features.
Adesso also has a wireless keyboard with touchpad but I wouldn’t get it because the touchpad is on the bottom of the keyboard and obviously harder to use when you are sitting on the couch.
Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed my review. Honestly, I am a bit biased towards Logitech products in this review because they indeed have the best wireless mouse and keyboards on the market in my opinion. However, if someone makes them better, I will surely update this review.
