I did a quick post on the new ASUS UL30Vt, which is an ultra-portable, ultra-low-power 13.3-inch laptop ASUS is shipping real soon. (Rumors say they will be shipping sometime around 12/5/09.)
Anyways, I pre-ordered mine so I can do a hands-on video review as soon as I get one. You can pre-order yours here too.
I know it’s too early to say the “best 13.3-inch laptop of the year” without even touching one but based on ASUS’s reputation (my experience with ASUS 1000HE), specs, and 12-hour battery life, this IS the laptop to get if you need something portable enough yet powerful to do things on the go.
The coolest part about this 13.3 inch laptop is that it’s less than 1-inch thick, weighs just 3.7 pounds, comes with on-demand “switchable” graphics cards (yes, TWO graphic cards, not one), and comes with a 4GB DDR3 RAM (that is also ultra-low-voltage) that can be upgraded to 8GB. (unlike ASUS UL30A series, which are 4GB limited)
ASUS UL30Vt-X1 – $799 Pre-Order on Amazon!
This is the reason I held back on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the ASUS UL30Vt! For this price, I don’t think there’s any other laptop that comes even remotely close.
