I have to admit opening up my harddrive everytime I needed to swap out harddisks or even with the use of removable harddisk docks, I still find it not versatile and flexible enough for all the computer I have.
But here’s a great harddisk dock that can be connected to your PC via USB and accepts 2.5″ or 3.5″ SATA harddrives. At $92, this is a really great gadget to have, especially if you have multiple harddrives you need to plug in and out all the time.

I don’t get it. If it’s internal drives you have to swap, why not stick all of them inside your case and be done with it (I have 6 hard disks in my case).
If you just want external space and buy internal disks because they are cheaper, then I still think it’s a lot of hassle.
Well, that’s what it’s for, if you need to swap your internal harddrives. (Let’s say you have an office in San Francisco and New York and you need to carry the harddrive with you as it contains important data…)
Yesm I believe this is actually for internal disks….
But not for everyone of course.
