Now, you can use the iPod to stop bullets!
Kevin Garrad (3rd Infantry Division) was on a street patrol in Iraq (Tikrit I believe) and as he rounded the corner of a building an armed (AK-47) insurgent came from the other side. The two of them were within just a few feet of each other when they opened fire. The insurgent was killed and Kevin was hit in the left chest where his IPod was in his jacket pocket. It slowed the bullet down enough that it did not completely penetrate his body armor. Fortunately, Kevin suffered no wound.

Sorry to say but the IPod did not do jack. It was the body armor that stopped the bullet. The body armor would have stopped it without a stupid IPod there to be junk. What I wonder is if Apple will give one of our brave heroes a new IPod for his lose. These men and women are the true heroes of this country, not the politicians, actors, musicians, or athletes.

actually the body armor was only rated up to small arms.. so the ipod/harddrive did slow it down…

My butt body armor is rated for small arms. i have been hit with 7.62mm(the ever loved AK) at 75 meters and it stopped it…. hurt like hel (NO PLATE). yeah all the ipod did was get in the way. o and the mr what about the people who stop wars. stop and think about where you would be with out war….. no USA. the US was founded on a war. blacks would still be slaves. think about stuff before you take a stand on it. war is a very necessary part of our lives with out there would me mass oppression. not saying we just start them right and left. war needs to me messy and bloody. with out that any one would start a war. the fear of death keeps the need for war in check.
