Here’s a cool DIY on how to make paper using some household materials.
Gather what you need. Most things are household items, except for the screen and the vat. It goes easier if you work near a water source, and where you can spill water without worries.

did this with mashed up paper at a state park feidl trip years ago
Very cool! I tried it, (somewhat of a half-hearted attempt), and came out with results that were alright. I could write on it fine, but it wasn’t very malleable.
I do tons of origami, and throw away lots of scrap paper. Since the whole green movement kicked in, I was motivated to try to recycle it, but it was far from being thin enough or foldable. Is it worth investing my time/energy into? Can you get results with very “foldable” paper, and as thin if not thinner than regular printing paper?
Thanks a ton for your time and help!
Sincerely,
David
