Pondering about Barcodes and the future

With all the barcodes existing on the market today, here’s a website that
allows you to make a personalized barcode
for yourself.

This may be far off but maybe you can tatoo your barcode and
make a touchscreen barcode system to go with it.
Well with RFID in a crazy takeoff with Wal-mart and all the greedy
mass merchants out there in our world today, we might as well
start making some personalized RFID tags so the government
can track everything we do and everywhere we go.

On the bright side, we will be able to identify people when they are deceased,
cutting down the labor required for cops to identify people and saving
the people some tax monies.

Barcodes, oh barcodes. The silly things people do with them. Things like barcode tattoos. Personally I find barcode-inspired art more exciting and engaging.

There are some of us in the auto ID industry who find the migration of barcodes from the warehouse to the mainstream amusing.

And for the record, there is no 666 or Mark of the Beast in UPC barcodes. Sheesh…
