

Here’s an interesting way to hack a set-top box into a Linux box.
Now you can run linux on your TV, this set-top box apparently costs
around $500 US but I think you can hack it into something useful.

hmmm, i could do this to my HD TV…
You can similarly hack a MSNTV2 box (2, not 1). Inside, it’s an x86-based board with USB, sound, modem, etc.
They go new for US$200, or used on ebay from US$0.01. I got each of mine for CAN$20 +shipping.
