Waboba Ball - Water-Bouncing Ball!
Here’s a really cool ball that can bounce on water. What’s up with the music? They really need to change the music if they want to increase sales.
The Waboba ball, which is about the size of a golf ball, has taken off around the world after videos were posted on YouTube.
Made of a combination of plastics with a lycra coating, it is described as having the consistency of a breast implant.
Sprint Samsung Instinct is great but the videos suck!

There are bunch of videos on how to use the new Sprint Samsung Instinct but there’s NO VIDEOS on the browser of the Samsung Instinct.
If Sprint is serious about competing with the iPhone (from a marketing perspective), they gotta get rid of all that voice activated live search crap and make some videos of YouTube playing on the phone OR loading Zedomax.com on the browser.
I think whoever is managing the video marketing section of Samsun Instinct need to be fired. That’s what I’d do. Hire someone who’s capable of making good vids.
I personally HATE voice-activated commands because my Blackberry 8830 always ask me, “Say a command” like 10 times a day, it’s annoying and people don’t need voice activated stuff. I wish manufacturers start focusing more on the internet browser of the phone instead of voice activated technology I’d never use.
Great phone + bad marketing, Sprint better get their act straight soon otherwise people will laugh at them. (if they are not laughing now)
Goohack Launched! - Find DIYs, HowTos, Hacks, and more!

Goohack was just launched! It’s a search engine that uses Google API to search DIYs, HowTos, Hacks, and other technology stuff from hand-selected sites by me.
It’s pretty useful as it filters out a lot of sites you don’t consider DIY and HowTo related.
For example, type “how to run car on water” and you will get a LOT of focused DIYs and HOWTOs on that subject only.
For now, I have it up on the top right corner so next time you need to find a hack, you can try Goohack.
Here’s a list of sites included in Goohack searches right now:
zedomax.com | makezine.com | engadget.com | gizmodo.com | lifehacker.com | techeblog.com | wonderhowto.com | hackedgadgets.com | metacafe.com | youtube.com | videojug.com | boingboing.net | wikihow.com | instructables.com | evilmadscientist.com | hackaday.com | hackszine.com | craftzine.com | diylive.net | techdigest.tv | ubergizmo.com | getusb.info | youritronics.com | hardocp.com
If you have a similar niche site and would like to be added, let us know here.
Web 2.0 Expo 2008 - Jeffrey Walker on Enterprise Wikis!

Jeffrey Walker, President of Atlassian.com, explains the benefits and some bullet-points about running Enterprise Wikis over at Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco.
Atlassian, is btw, a company that specializes in Enterprise Wikis built for organizing large companies.
What is interesting to me is that these “wikis” have been replacing e-mails, documents, and all sorts of other technology of large companies.
Although it will still takes years before consumers can benefit from this technology, it’s good to learn from the guy behind one of the largest Enterprise Wiki companies.
I believe the technology is out there but we need more folks like Jeffrey who can integrate that into companies and also individuals.

- Download SpeedBit Video Accelerator which makes videos from YouTube and many other video sites faster by reducing buffering problems.
- The URL Hacking: Add a simple &fmt=18# to the end of the normal YouTube video URL would make the hi res video, if it exists, to load On the other hand if you would like youtube videos which are of better quality then remove the # from the end.
- Search faster and Watch fast youtube videos with Youtube Seatch.
- Use an Firefox Addon which is really cool - YouPlayer (If you not using FireFox please excuse me.)

Knols Project - Google is trying to compete with Wikipedia!
Google is trying to compete with Wikipedia with its new Knols Project. We don’t know how successful it will be as we have seen Google Video and Youtube before.
But one thing is for sure, Google is trying to get into the Wiki business. (Knol Project is very similar to our QuarterWiki, OneBuckWiki, EntreWiki, FiveDollarWiki, and other wikis that we are developing right now.)
The interface does look pretty neat from the screenshot here:
What amazes us is that we are trying to build the largest commercialized Wiki with our new QuarterWiki but Google is also making similar site. We don’t intend to compete with Google of course, but we think we are going in the right direction if the Big Guy thinks so too.
You can get to the new Knols Project login by going here:
https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=knol
But unless you got an invite, you can’t access it. Does anyone want to give us an invite? We’d like to incorporate Knols’ features on our paid wiki sites before Knols’ launch date. Lol…we are being too honest here huh?
Here’s what the Google Knol Project is briefly about:
Knols will include strong community tools. People will be able to submit comments, questions, edits, additional content, and so on. Anyone will be able to rate a knol or write a review of it. Knols will also include references and links to additional information. At the discretion of the author, a knol may include ads. If an author chooses to include ads, Google will provide the author with substantial revenue share from the proceeds of those ads.
Once testing is completed, participation in knols will be completely open, and we cannot expect that all of them will be of high quality. Our job in Search Quality will be to rank the knols appropriately when they appear in Google search results. We are quite experienced with ranking web pages, and we feel confident that we will be up to the challenge. We are very excited by the potential to substantially increase the dissemination of knowledge.
We do not want to build a walled garden of content; we want to disseminate it as widely as possible. Google will not ask for any exclusivity on any of this content and will make that content available to any other search engine.
As always, a picture is worth a thousands words, so an example of a knol is below (click on the image twice to see the page in full). The main content is real, and we encourage you to read it (you may sleep better afterwards!), but most of the meta-data — like reviews, ratings, and comments — are not real, because, of course, this has not been in the public eye as yet. Again, this is a preliminary version.

Tight, check out this crazy lookin’ Wii Case Mod, I wish they sold this at the store. Looks pretty simple to make though.
This Wii mod is one of the most extreme mods I have seen for the Nintendo Wii so far. The video goes over the mods that this machine went through.
