Gmail HACK - How to Protect yourself from Gmail Session Hackers!
Here’s an interesting video that shows hackers sniffing the Wifi to retrieve Gmail cookie. Of course, this is when you are using Gmail without HTTPS secure access.
For secure Gmail, simply use https://gmail.com instead of http://gmail.com.

For analyzing your network whether that be Wifi or wired, you might want to consider trying the following TCP/UDP network analyzers.
Download Ethereal - I have used Ethereal for a long time before when I used to work as an embedded network engineer. It’s a great tool and shows pretty much every packet your network passes around. (great for wifi)
Download Wireshark - Similar to Ethereal, I believe this tool is based on the same core as the Ethereal.

Nokia E71 Confirmed for Production!

Nokia E71 looks so much like Blackberry 8830 I’ve got here, perhaps slimmer. If the price is right, Nokia E71 might not be a bad choice.
The E71 is one of the thinnest phones we’ve ever seen exit the doors of the Finnish giant, at 10mm thick, but there’s still plenty of room for everything you’d expect out of an E series phone like WiFi, HSDPA, A-GPS and even a 3.2 megapixel camera and a front facing camera for video chat — the main place the E71 differs on specs from its new E66 sibling is the 2.36-inch QVGA screen, just a fraction of an inch smaller. The E71 even manages to squeeze in extra battery, with 20 days of standby, 10.5 hours of GSM talk or 4.5 hours of 3G talk. There’s 110MB of built-in storage and a microSD slot if you grow out of that, and the same business / personal switcher of the E66.
The scooter desk
This is a great little device can save a lot of trouble around crowded places like airports, with all those people hanging around with their laptops balanced on top of their luggage, now all they need to do is get one these guys and shuffle around like “Zoidberg” from the great Futurama.

Imagine what would happen if they bumped into each other or one fell over and knocked into some of the others.

The Designers Suggested uses:
Filling out forms at post offices/banks
Self banking
‘laptopping’ at the wifi-spot in the airport lounge
Flipping through a book in the library
As laptop desks in hotel rooms
As touch down stations for guards in museums or shops
Reading magazines in waiting rooms
At (adult) schools for outside lectures and mini auditoriums
Outdoor sketching in the park or zoo
Hostess checking in passengers at the airport
Doctor doing his rounds in the hospital
Can’t wait to see these around! No prices details as of yet.

Super Vespa hit the streets
The modern vespa is slightly different to its original counterparts where they had hardly anything extra on them.

But this one has got the latest hi tech upgrade, including this LCD screen, with touch screen display, and WiFi connectivity which will enable access to the internet whenever the owner wants, though it is not a great idea to be doing this while driving along.
I wonder what the insurance would be on this, I couldn’t imagine any theft being able to walk past it, without thinking about ripping the screen out of the bike.

Here’s a cool iPhone review video from your regular homie joe. Although the internet connection was done using WiFi here, I’d say the iPhone is very fast even for WiFi. I suspect slower loading times for Cellular network though…
3G Cellphone Review - What’s your choice of 3G cellphone?
Are you thinking about getting a new cellphone or pda phone? Well, my HTC8125 with 2G just broke so I am thinking about getting a new phone.
First thing you should really consider when buying a new cellphone is 3G support especially if it’s a pda smartphone you are buying.
For your information, my HTC8125 with 2G is about as fast as a 115200 bps modem for browsing the internet. It does support wifi but even with wifi, it’s very slow and I don’t recommended for anyone.
Fore more on 2G vs. 3G performance, you can check out:

Anyways, here’s a Zedomax Review of 3G Cellphones:
The Motorola Q9 is awesome with 3.6Mbps HSDPA 3G!

Samsung SGH-F700 is one of my favorite targets. The only thing I don’t like is that it runs Windows.
i-Mate Ultimate 5150 does offer 3G but doesn’t really look stylish or visually appealing to me.
Samsung Blackjack looks really cool and probably the slimmest phone among the ones here. I am really leaning towards this guy. Since it’s available now, I might get it…
The 400Mhz HTC 8525 supports 3G but having experienced a 200Mhz HTC 8125, I know it’s still going to be very very slow. The HTC 8125 pretty much lost all my confidence for that company so definitely a no-no. If HTC wants to prove otherwise, send me one! Plus my HTC 8125 just died recently only after 5 months of regular abuse! (My old samsung lasted more than 3 years!)
Here’s a 3G card for your PC:

I heard Verizon Broadband is pretty fast too.
Here’s a list of non-3G phones:
(Don’t get these if you are going to use the internet a lot…)
- new HTC P3350
- i-mate JAQ4
- iPhone - There are rumors that there will be 3G for iPhone in 2008!?! (R u kiddin’ me?)
- RIM’s Blackberry 8300
What’s your choice of 3G cellphone?
