Looks like Shelto has been updating his internet robot project from couple months ago.
Check out this cool internet controlled security robots made with some CUBLOC PLCs and GPS modules.
We’ve lowered the overall profile and given Turtle (or should it be Tiger), a new paint job. We have also added a GPS unit. The GPS feeds signals to the CUBLOC micro controller which sends the location back to the controlling pc on the internet.
Solar Powered Bike!

Wow, check out this neato bike that can power itself using the power of the Sun!
The E-V Sunny Bicycle has light absorbing Solar panels built right into the Wheels, creating continual power from the Sun’s Rays, and maintaining a constant charge to the batteries. The bike is propelled by a 500 watt front hub motor.
Aptera Electric Car

Check out this cool lookin’ Aptera Electric Car. They even got bunch of videos on their myspace page.
Looks like a big bug…haha…
Pre-order yours, it looks like this one’s gonna be a lucky one.
But only if you want to become known as the town eccentric. Clocking up a smug environmentalist’s dream 230mpg and maxing out at 55mph, the hybrid electro/diesel freakshow is available for pre-order now - although it’ll cost around £15,000 for Americans to buy when it starts shipping in 12 months time.
Robot Video - Robot Jockey Racing

Check out this awesome Robot Jockey, I’d say it’s one of the most creative robots ever built.
According to the designer, Martin Buehler, it’s a ”prototype jockey ridden hopping robot that controlled forward speed, hopping height, and pitch balance, the jockey did sideways balance and steering.” I had to read that sentence over about five times before it made sense, you too?
Electrobike Pi - Hybrid Electric Bike

At $7500, I’d probably get a real bike like a Suzuki GSX-R600 but this hybrid electric bike is cool since you can charge it within about 2-3 hours and goes upto 46mph. I wouldn’t want to go that fast in a bike like this though…
This blindingly red transporter “combines the lightweight portability of a bicycle with speed and self-propulsion more akin to a motorcycle,” as it includes a 36-volt pack of NiMH batteries that provides “about one horsepower” to the 58-pound device. The unit can be fully charged “from any standard household outlet in 2.5 to 3 hours and can run for 25 to 30 miles,” and according to a report from the LA Times, the 20mph maximum stock speed can be increased to around 46mph “with a little after-market hot rodding.” Granted, the base price on this thing is said to be around $7,500, so it looks like the most of us will have to stick with the trusty Huffy ten-speed for the time being.
Motorboard

Check out the details of this bad-ass little ride with electric power. I am going to see if I can get one for a monthly contest here… (or maybe 2, one for me too!)
Anyways, these are tight ass little rides you can commute to work without having a big bulky bike or car to park at an overpriced parking lot.
If you want one of these for free, leave a COMMENT! (Will they send us 2 of these? One for me and one for one of our readers?) (thanks Linda, for the tip from Keetsa!)
The 2000XR is engineered with specially tuned springs which give the motorboard a silky smooth ride, without sacrificing performance by using inflatable tires. Our tuned springs work in several modes to smooth out bumps as well as rougher road surfaces. Perfect for gliding in any urban environment.
Our motors are custom made for this application. They’re not “standard, off-the-shelf” motors like others use. Our motors have been custom wound and optimized for torque and efficiency — and have surprising power too.
6061 Aluminum Alloy is used throughout. This alloy is stronger and stiffer than the typical “architectural” grades used by other manufacturers.
The 2000XR uses the world’s most advanced nanotechnology battery cells from A123 Systems. While creating the 2000XR, we tested hundreds of batteries from every major manufacturer on Earth, and nothing came close to the power and performance of these batteries. Not only are they incredibly powerful, but they are the safest lithium batteries on the market.
So what does that power mean for the Motorboard? Top speed is still limited to a (safe) 15MPH, but the hill climbing, torque, and range are greatly increased.
The art of survival
Never has being on the edge looked so good, this piece of modern art would look good in any gallery around the world.
But its purpose is to help people survive the night in the wilderness or if there has been some sort of natural disaster.

Whatever the situation, this is a really great looking concept and should it go into production would no doubt save some lives or at least make the night go a little easier. Although it may bring back memories of when you were a baby before you were born!

Give the dog a rest
All dogs like to have their heads out of the window of your car while you are driving around, but this can cause some problems as the edge of the window can be very sharp and can harm the dog in the event of the driver having to brake heavy.
