Obama or McCain?

Posted in A+Featured Entertainment, Consumer, Cool, Entertainment, Funny, Government, News, Politics, Video by max on the October 10th, 2008 at 9:38 am

Well, I did get a little harsh on Palin the other day, our reader Nicole Price from GreatPricesHere.com left a comment that did get my attention and I’ve had enough of this Political drama between Obama and McCain.

Frankly, I take no sides in this political campaign but McCain is too OLD to be President.

I really like how McCain answer gay marriage question, couldn’t he just say that gay marriage should be allowed since if it’s not, it’s a prejudice against sexual orientation, thus against U.S. Constitution?

Here’s a funny clip from Saturday Night Live where McCain says being old is one of the characteristics a President should have.

Well, I think being old has nothing to do with ANYTHING.  Look at Tiger Woods, he beat the crap out of everyone who’s OLD, made a new game out of golf.

Well, I am not taking sides here but McCain is definitely not it, I just don’t want to see another Bush marathon of U.S. economy collapse and $700 billion spent on rich people.  Just think about what happened yesterday when AIG decided to use $400,000 on corporate outing when their company is part of that $700 billion that I might be paying for!  Here’s the protest video.  I even predicted this couple days ago

Okay, now you can tell me why you want to vote for Obama or McCain.  Let me go on blogging again now. :)

Eco Hack - Eco-friendly Chair pumps itself by walking!

A Korean-born designer has designed what seems like “air bubble” chair that pumps itself when you walk.

I think this is a really great idea for concerts and outdoor events where people have to stand constantly.

For example, it would be great to have this while watching Tiger Woods play in a real PGA Tournament, you’d have a chair for every hole you are at. (or wherever you are at)

Just don’t take the bus with the chair inflated, make sure to deflate the thing first.

Artist and interactive designer, JooYoun Paek takes the cake on that front with her recently revealed Self-Sustainable Chair, a wearable piece of furniture which is a dress where the butt inflates into a chair through pumps in the shoes. Paek hopes the provocative art piece will “transform the humdrum experiences produced by routine walking commutes into an amusing interactive performance.” Featured at this weekend’s Conflux Festival, her quirky and intriguing project suggests that rest and walk can be balanced by re-thinking the function of what we wear.

Shot Online is a Free 3-D Online Golf Game!

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Entertainment, Games, Golf, Online Games, Sports, kids by max on the July 3rd, 2008 at 11:41 am

Shot Online is a Free Online Golf Game!

Shot Online, a 3-D online golf gam, has been chosen as an official game of GNGWC 2008.

If you cannot afford to get Tiger Woods for your XBOX360, Nintendo Wii, or Playstation PS3, you might just want to check this game out by downloading here for free.  (The game is available for many different languages too but this one’s for English I think.)

I might try it out later this afternoon and see how well I score. :)

Gamers will feel like they are playing a real golf game on the field with Shot Online, as it has been developed as a full 3D game. Jaesun KIM, a director of OnNet said “our goal when developing the Shot Online was keeping the game within the basic rules of golf, and we are still working to achieve this goal”, showing the intention for Shot Online as a realistic golf game.

Diving Knife Injects 850 PSI of compressed Gas into any Predators!

Posted in Animals, Consumer, Cool, Design, Gadgets by max on the June 16th, 2008 at 1:03 pm

Diving Knife Injects 850 PSI of compressed Gas into any Predators!

Here’s a really cool diving knife that injects 850 PSI of compressed gas into your predators whether that’s a Tiger or a Shark, it will freeze them instantly.  Just don’t stick it in humans. (That’d be BBAAADD)

This weapon injects a frozen ball of compressed gas approximately the size of a basketball at 850psi nearly instantly. The effects of this injection will drop many of the world’s largest land predators. The effects of the compressed gas not only cause over-inflation during ascent when used underwater, but also freezes all tissues and organs surrounding the point of injection on land or at sea. When used underwater, the injected gas carries the predator to the surface BEFORE blood is released into the water. Thus giving the diver added protection by diverting other potential predators to the surface.

DIY Magic Golf Trick - HOWTO Catch A Golf Ball After You Hit It

Posted in Consumer, Cool, DoItYourself!, Educational, Entertainment, Funny, Golf, Sports, Video by max on the September 14th, 2007 at 9:02 pm

Here’s some golf trick I have been working on for last 18 years of my life that I want to show you:

(Even Tiger hasn’t tried this shot on TV yet…)

Here’s a HOWTO on catching your golf ball AFTER you hit it.

1. Open the clubface so it’s pointing behind you about -10 degrees.

2. Really feel like you are sitting down.

3. Get wristy and loose with your hands.

4. Make a nice swing and catch the ball.

The key here is to hit the ‘bounce’ of the sand wedge. (Oh yes, you can use Lob wedge or Sand wedge for this shot) while making a smooth swing.

If you can do this, send me a video so I can post it on my site.

Butch Harmon’s Laser Trainer

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Entertainment, Gadgets, Golf, Sports by max on the December 1st, 2006 at 9:26 pm

Here’s a cool golf training aid from world’s renown golf teacher, Butch Harmon.  Basically you can attach this device to ends of your golf club.  Well,
you can hack one out of flashlight or some laser pointers yourself…

Maybe we can convert out DIY golf training aid into something that’s like this…  Will Butch Harmon call us for some ideas?   Something that will teach
plane and allow the golfer to repeat his or her swing more often than not.

Well it will be for hackers like me, not a computer hacker, but golfer hacker,
you get what i am saying?

Anyways, any comments on our golf POV would be appreciated.  We are also
thinking of a new name for our new version of the golf POV.

Please leave comments below for any good thoughts for the weekend.

Thanks!  :)

DIY - Use the golf POV for your next Ad, here’s a Nike Swoosh

Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode

Here’s a Nike Swoosh Garrett and I made using the Golf POV from last week. We also got some sideview footage for more swing analysis. It seems that the letters of Nike helps in seeing the backswing versus the downswing.

We know, that this would look a lot better with Tiger Woods on it…

http://zedomax.com/image/200611/nike_ad1.gif

You can observe the backswing plane as the backwards Nike and the downswing plane as the forward Nike symbol.
http://zedomax.com/image/200611/nike_ad4.gif

Here’s a 45 degree angle:

Here’s a sideview:

Well that does take the swing analysis concept a little further. Now you can also analyze your backswing and downswing plane. You want your downswing plane under your backswing plane, which means you are swinging inside-out. Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons has a good detailed instructions on the planes of a golf swing.

If you need a free ad for your website, let us know, we will make you one!

Or you can make your own in about 2 hours.

Oh yeah, here’s the source code for the Nike Ad we made.
