Korean JATY Navigation does Breathalyzer!

Here’s an innovative idea for all future navigation systems, to include a breathalyzer. How many DUI convictions would we save for an extra sensor and some stupid program that’d probably cost the navigation manufacturer extra 5 bucks?
At least, we know exactly what “level” we are on before driving.
Those crazy Koreans have brought out a new auto toy to tell if you’re fit to drive after a few jars of the sauce. Yes, the JATY DR7200 doubles as a breathalyzer as well as a GPS buddy, MP3 player, ebook reader, DMB television device, games console and all round modern day motoring Swiss Army Knife.

Wow wee, this is an awesome DIY 56 inch multi-touch television!
I have built a nice multitouch display during my spare time as a hobby. In this article, I will share plans and explain how to construct a 56 inch multitouch screen that looks like a TV. It’s totaly homemade, it’s not made from an old tv but you could do so. This article is for people who already have basis in this kind of thing. It’s not an easy setup and it’s not suitable to be commercialized but for personal use it’s fine to test new soft.

Concept Touchscreen Universal Remote looks Aw(fully)some!

Check out this touchscreen universal remote concept. It seems like actually more than a remote and by the sign of the big “E”, it must have internet web browsing capabilities on top of being able to use it as a telephone.
Well, kudos for the design, maybe too awfully awesome for the consumers.
Simply called the Universal Remote, the device would be flash capable so it could display anything from channel listings to more elaborate menus. With a touchscreen, the right frequencies and support from outside companies, the remote would allow you to change your television’s volume to turning on the oven or dimming the lights — and companies could create custom graphic user interfaces for a product, too.

The remote controlled cooler
This is a must for the Homer Simpson types who just want to laze around all day long, while they watch the television or just take it easy.
The bag is on wheels and has a remote which will enable the person with it, to control where it is and who get the nice cool beer. The bag is collapsible for easy storage and will hold up to six bottles of beer or cans etc.

The all weather television
Its great to watch the TV outside in the garden, patio or balcony, getting the sun and fresh air, instead of being stuck inside, and now you can watch a 46 inch HD ready all weather TV.
SunBriteTV have the answer for anyone who would love to own such television without the worry of the weather, of course there is always the possibility of there being rain, cold or both, the SunBriteTV has a corrosion resistant casing that will protect the internal workings from the weather and any thing else including accidents.

Being enclosed the inside of the casing would get extremely hot, so there are filtered fans which will keep the inside cool and a heather for the reverse. The cables are waterproofed too, including the antenna cable.
But having the ability to do all of this is expensive and so this is bound to be reflected in the price, which is, around $5,000, and for those who can’t wait this TV will be in the stores in by the end of the month.

Linux DIY Hack - HOW TO - Scan the ‘waves with your TV card
Wow, here’s a cool way to put your old linux box to good use…TV wave hacking!
AMXL shows you how to use a SAA7134 based TV card and Debian to tune in to all sorts of waves you can’t normally get with your TV… Looks like it will work with many of the TV cards out there too… - “If you have a TV capture card in your computer, you probably already have all the hardware you need to listen in on much more than just TV and radio (only software changes are needed). The hardware will also allow you to hear emergency services, taxi and freight radios, UHF citizen band radio, aircraft transmissions, and more. In this article, I show you how you can make your Linux distribution (I used Debian Sarge, but other distros should work too, as long as you have a 2.6.x Linux kernel) and SAA7134 based TV card tune into those frequencies you can’t get at with a normal radio or TV.”
