Auto-Fold Baby Stroller!

Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode
Here’s an innovative Auto-Fold Baby Stroller, which will fold/unfold itself using a remote control plus the on-board battery charges itself by the wheels turning on the stroller. This will be great for dads/moms who constantly have to fold it everytime they go out with the baby.
The stroller itself has safety features that will disable the folding mechanism but I think that’s my only worry, what if the sensor breaks and your child gets folded along with the mechanism? That’d mean some serious lawsuits and dead babies we don’t want. Perhaps they can install a “manual” lock, not a breakable sensor.
A small generator powers the stroller and recharges itself with every 300 feet of use. The Origami has safety features that include built in intelligence that can detect when a child is in its seat, disabling the automated folding mechanism. With tremendous storage features, the Origami touts an easily removable backpack, cup holders for kids and adults and washable fabrics in a variety of colors.

CX1 Supercomputer for $25K!

Microsoft and Cray launch the CX1 supercomputer for about $25K each. The CX1 supercomputer can hold upto 16 Intel Xeon CPUs, 4 Terabytes of storage, and 64 gigs of memory.
The supercomputer will run Windows HPC Server 2008, the only downfall of it.
I would rather see free Linux system running on the servers, that would probably bring down the cost of software and price down to around $15K at least.
At this point I don’t really see the usefulness of this Windows supercomputer but I do like the hardware.
Faenov said that people in markets such as financial services, aerospace, automotive, academic and life sciences who must do simulations and modeling that require a certain level of computing performance have two options, neither of which is easy. “You can go to a corporate environment and try to obtain a large-scale system, or purchase a system and assemble it [yourself],” he said.

DIY - How to Make a Hydroponics Unit for Growing Weed!

Don’t mind the post title as this DIY shows you how to make hydroponics unit for growing anything.
Aside from people with medical marijuana licenses who live in San Francisco and can legally grow several pot plants, the hydroponic system can be used for growing your own organic vegetables and what not.
My wife teaches 8th grade science. This project “The Hydroshack” is a rendition of one I built over 20 years ago in my college teaching methods class. It is designed specifically for performing experiments in a science class. It therefore incorporates some modifications for flexibility and control purposes. It also needs to be collapsible for storage in tight quarters. If you are considering building something similar for your home, it can be less complex.
Of course, if you don’t want to build one yourself, here’s some resources too:
Hydroponics.com sells bunch of nutrients and other hardware needed for home-growing.
All about Hydroponics at Wikipedia.
Hydroponics.net sells bunch of stuff for home-growing too.

Portable Build-a-Chair Design by Taiani Vincent

Here’s an awesome portable chair design. At first look, you will notice 3 pieces and wonder, “How is that a chair”?

Now start putting the pieces together in your mind.

Little more…

Almost there…

Wow, look at that, a portable DIY chair in seconds. Now, if you got a whole stadium of these chairs, it might do some stylish design wonders while keeping your storage cost down over traditional fold-a-chairs.
What amazes me is the simplicity and elegant design of this chair. If went into production, I think it’d do real good with any kind of material including carboard. (Heck, why don’t they make these in cardboard, they’d make some awesome re-usable disposable chairs)
