Nokia E71 Confirmed for Production!

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Design, Gadgets, Nokia, cell phones by max on the June 16th, 2008 at 2:35 pm

Nokia E71 Confirmed for Production!

Nokia E71 looks so much like Blackberry 8830 I’ve got here, perhaps slimmer. If the price is right, Nokia E71 might not be a bad choice.

The E71 is one of the thinnest phones we’ve ever seen exit the doors of the Finnish giant, at 10mm thick, but there’s still plenty of room for everything you’d expect out of an E series phone like WiFi, HSDPA, A-GPS and even a 3.2 megapixel camera and a front facing camera for video chat — the main place the E71 differs on specs from its new E66 sibling is the 2.36-inch QVGA screen, just a fraction of an inch smaller. The E71 even manages to squeeze in extra battery, with 20 days of standby, 10.5 hours of GSM talk or 4.5 hours of 3G talk. There’s 110MB of built-in storage and a microSD slot if you grow out of that, and the same business / personal switcher of the E66.

Daily Laptop Pimp Digest

Posted in Computer, Consumer, Gadgets, Laptop by max on the May 23rd, 2008 at 12:21 pm

Well, since we started a new blog over at Laptop Pimp blog, we will do a daily digest of what’s going on in the laptop world.

Today’s daily laptop digest:

Eec PC help ASUS become the 6th largest PC vendor.   Intel Eco PCs are another great sign of the on-coming mini-laptop revolution.

My next laptop will be something like the ASUS 1TB laptop with 1,000 gigabytes of storage and solve all my laptop shortage problems.

OLPC XO2 will be hotter than the first version with its dual monitor setup.

CTL IL1PC is a weird name, can we get a better name for a laptop pleeez?

DIY Laptop stands here and here.

Strida Folding Bike!

Strida Tech Bike!

With all the cool folding bikes out these days, here’s another cool folding bike called Strida.

The Strida from Area Ware works around a triangular frame, which means it, has strength as well as agility, because it will fold down flat making the bike totally portable in just five seconds. Now you have a light, yet compact bike for storage.

The 160 mega pixel camera

Posted in Cameras, Computer, Consumer, Cool, Funny by david on the January 22nd, 2008 at 1:00 pm

Now this is what you call a camera, measuring in at seventeen inches by six inches, it has a massive 900 mb of storage and 160 mega pixels.

mega camera

Clearly this is not the sort of thing that you can carry around with you, but there just has to be a call for something like this otherwise they would not have made it, would they? There is however a slight price issue.

Priced at $44,414!

Battery USB flash drive

Posted in Cool, Funny, Gadgets, Household, Storage, USB by david on the January 8th, 2008 at 7:30 am

This is probably the most expensive battery that anyone would ever buy, but if you look closer you could make out that in fact it is not a battery at all, but a 4 GB flash drive.

usb batteries

Features:

USB 2.0
Portable and easy operate
Plug and play
Support Window 98/ME/2000/XP, Mac OS 9.X or above, Linux Kernel 2.4 or above
Size: 16 x 16 x 63mm (approx.)

USB Battery Flash Drive

This a nice ideal, because if you have some data to hide, all you need to do is store it on the flash drive and place the drive itself into the box where all of the batteries are kept.

The remote controlled cooler

Posted in Batteries, Computer, Consumer, Cool, Entertainment, Funny, Gadgets, Household, Motor by david on the January 7th, 2008 at 6:00 am

This is a must for the Homer Simpson types who just want to laze around all day long, while they watch the television or just take it easy.

remote cooler

The bag is on wheels and has a remote which will enable the person with it, to control where it is and who get the nice cool beer. The bag is collapsible for easy storage and will hold up to six bottles of beer or cans etc.

DIY solar powered mower

Posted in Batteries, Cool, Funny, Household, Solar, Storage by david on the January 5th, 2008 at 8:00 am

This is probably something that will not end up in the stores, but never the less it is a great idea, with one problem; it takes over forty hours to charge up.

solar powered mower

This will cost around $699 to build up for yourself, which is made up of the motor at $312, the solar panels at $120 and the battery at $90. It is quite expensive but it is a prototype which if it were to go into full production the prices would tumble.

The storage ring

Posted in Art, Cool, Design, Food, Funny, Storage by david on the January 3rd, 2008 at 10:00 am

storage ring

Well this may look like something that would find on side of ship for helping someone who ahs fallen over board, but in reality these are storage devices.

storage ring

You can see that there is a distinct advantage here with them being on the wall etc, but if you are putting fruit inside of them, then there are two things wrong with that, one is the fruit has to be all the same size and secondly what happens if a piece of fruit goes rotten?
