I personally think Segways can be useful in some highly populated areas such as downtown San Francisco/LA/New York, but these things are probably a waste of resources otherwise.  If you cannot afford a real segway, there’s a much more eco-friendly option of building your own  “Legway”, it doesn’t really work well on turns but heck, sure beats buying a segway for ...

This is latest development in personal transport and by just looking at the design you can tell there is something of the Segway in there somewhere and with the influence of GM and we are not talking genetically modified here.     Project PUMA as has become known is cool ideal, but like the Segway is the PUMA likely to catch on or simply be the butt of more jokes. In theory as with t ...

Looks like against all the liability issues, GM and Segway has allowed the Gizmodo team to take a ride in their new P.U.M.A. My first thoughts?  I would NEVER ride in that thang, it’s too small. (That’s my first honest reaction.)  I doubt that people over 200 pounds can even fit in that thing nevermind getting stuck.  But a great idea, sorta the next-level version of Segw ...

If you have been following Zedomax for quite awhile, you probably remember when my friend built a PC in 8 minutes.  Well, here’s some more good DIYs on how to build a PC.  Building a PC can be a daunting task for first timers while it’s a piece of cake for those who have done it before. Building a PC can be a daunting task. It takes research and patience. Rushing through a ...

This is the Anybot Telepresence Robot, this is a robot, which has been crossed with a video phone, there is the screen and a hand set which have been incorporated with the long slender body of the man sized body. It has two wheels like the segway and therefore can balance itself will moving and standing still too. The only problem with this is the fact that is this going to be chasing y ...

Download latest version of Flash to view video!. Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode Check out this cool Toyota Winglet, pretty much a miniture-version of the Segway.  This Winglet might do really well since it’s smaller and perhaps cheaper than Segway. Winglet is powered by an electric motor, these Winglets are capable of up to 3.73mph or 6km/h for up to 6.2 miles or 10km in t ...

Here’s a humorous pose of the Chinese SWAT team practicing on segways. (Or maybe it was a scene in the movie shooting…) I really think this is a really good idea as parts of busy Chinese metropolitan streets will let the segway travel much faster than anything other than motorcycles and bikes. As for shooting shot guns from a segway, I’d have to say you need more train ...

Here’s a great concept super segway.  I wonder if it will be even legal to ride this thing if it goes 75mph… What’d ya think? If constructed, the designer believes that it could achieve a top speed of 75 mph (0-60mph in 3 seconds) with a recharge time of 15 minutes and cycle time of 1 hour. For those who don’t know an OPAV is an Optionally Piloted Air Vehicle, this version can be flown unmanned or with a pilot hovering around 15 feet above the ground on a cushion of air similar to that of a hovercraft. The company behind the VeriPod are called Air Buoyant they believe that this could be the Segway of the sky, although15 feet in the air is not technically right, but its c ...

Segways one day will rule the world; they will become aware and eventually rule us humans until we fight back. But until them we can do as we please the Segway and here are a couple of examples that just go to show how good they can look. These are really customised versions of the two wheeled machine, which I think would surprise many people when they see them. They have been given cu ...
