R2D2 USB Hub in action!
Using the R2D2 USB hub might not make your USB devices to run faster but it’s still a fun little USB hub than your regular ol’ hub with no feelings.
So like the Darth Vader Hub, it is animated, provides some nifty Star Wars sound effects and more precisely the famous R2D2 sounds effect.
Notice that it goes into action every 3 minutes; it offers 4 USB ports, moving the head.
Star Wars USB Hubs!

R2D2 and Darth Vader may be in reach of your USB devices with this cool Star Wars USB Hubs.
Can’t complain now that the evil force is comin’ to get your USB devices.
these official R2D2 and Vader USB hubs. R2’s head moves, he lights up and emits genuine Star Wars sound effects every three minutes, while Vader just seems to have the sound effects and glowing eyes. *Shiver*… menacing. Of course they also have four full-speed USB sockets on the front, and come with three feet of USB cable. Available in July for around $66… but that’s in Japan, USB hub fans.
Roll out the barrel
Now this could be a candidate for the robo competition, the only problem is this could be considered very useful indeed as it does contain beer. Well at some stage it did or if it can be refilled does.

But this little r2d2 type robot clearly has no beer inside now, and so it debatable, what does an empty beer keg do?

Cool, check out the steam powered R2D2 that also got some servos!
The first robot that I ever built, was a R2…. out of legos when I was 5 years old. So after building over a dozen steam powered contraptions, when I “grew up”, I knew I had to visit my old friend R2. I love machines with personalities and charm. You can love or hate StarWars, but everyone loves R2. To many of us, R2D2 was our first introduction to robots, he’s a swiss army gadget bot with charm, who always saves the day. It just doesn’t get any better than that.
R2D2 Robot from StarWars available now at Hammacher Schlemmer
Yes, now you can get your own!
* able to react to voice commands – this is probably a blessing from go because it’s the only thing that will obey your orders all the times, unless it runs out of batteries. There are over 40 voice commands that the R2 can obey, examples like “turn around” or “move forward two units” show his dedication to pleasure you.
* capable of playing games because of the infra-red sensor – imagine the fun of playing tag with a robot, can you?
* it can have a bad mood – this is actually a good thing because it makes you remember that humans exist, but on the other hand if you simply talk to R2 and say “behave yourself”, the bad mood will disappear. * Replay parts (audio only) of the star wars movies – the only thing missing is a built-in LCD & video player with all the movies and a touch-screen on the front to select which one to watch.
