Nokia Bluetooth Loopset adds “hands-free” to your Hearing Aid!

It looks like Nokia might be the first to offer bluetooth “hands-free” mode to those of you using hearing aids.
The Nokia Loopset simply plugs into your hearing aid to allow wireless bluetooth connection to your PDA or cellphone.
Its “Wireless Loopset” is a device designed to hang around the neck that basically turns a t-coil-equipped hearing aid into a Bluetooth headset. In addition to providing the wireless connection, the Loopset includes such features as vibrating alerts and single-button dialing, according to Gearlog, and willl also work with cochlear implants.
iPhone Hack - How To Turn an iPhone into a Moleskine Book!
Here’s a fun DIY on how to make a moleskine book casing for your iPhone.
That’s fine, but the little iPod gets uncomfortable to hold after a while, and it lacks the presence of a real book. Imagine seeing an attractive girl (or boy) sitting outside a pavement café, drinking an espresso, smoking a Gauloise and reading a tatty paperback. It’s a romantic image which is shattered when you swap the book for a PDA. I decided to disguise my iPod as a book, and if that wasn’t pretentious enough, I put it in a modded Moleskine, the notebook of choice for fops and dandies the world over.
Nanoprojector to fit in cell phone
ExPlay is a company from Israel, they are showing off this great product, the nanoprojector is supposed to eventually be small enough to be placed into a cell phone, but at the moment it comes in a similar size to a PDA, so it can be carried around in your pocket.

What the nanoprojector can do is exactly what you think it does, the device will project an image onto a surface such as a wall; so you can view images such as video from the cell phone which saves have to view the small screens that the cell phones have.
This can also be used in conjunction with PDA’s and iPods etc, so I may be possible to view whole movies in this manner.

In-rack wireless modules for PLCs

Here’s a cool radio gizmo wireless module you can use for PLCs and other “industrial” applications. You could probably use it with CUBLOC or CuTOUCH too… Check out Prosoft Technologies for more info.
Frequency hopping (FHSS) radios create robust serial and/orEthernet links for the most demanding applications in terms of radiofrequency environment and for applications requiring an extremely highlevel of security and reliability.
“Industrial Hotspot” supports applications needing Wi-Fi connectivity (PC, PDA…) and/or a high data throughput.
Google GPS

Here’s a cool way to use Google earth as GPS. Too bad you can’t run it on a PDA unless someone finds a way…
Basically you run Google Earth and use some great donation-ware to link it in real time to a GPS. This means that your mapping software and maps worldwide are not only free, but you also get hi-res satellite views and in some cases 3D buildings (in downtown areas). Only a year or so ago this would have cost tens of thousands of dollars in proprietary GPS mapping gear; it would be difficult to share it once done; each map and satellite shot would cost extra; and it would have been an ordeal to get it all loaded up and working properly for each area you wanted to go.
Charging ANYthing!
Cool way to power everything in one box in this hectic world with more than enough power
adaptors that we need.
“I made my own charging center for all my electronic gadgets (phone, PDA, iPod, Nintendo DS, etc.)–it’s a box with a power strip inside, and holes for the ends of the various proprietary cords to poke out. It’s really nice-looking, too (if I do say so myself). It was an easy project that has made a huge difference in my life and the appearance of my living room, and I’m surprised I haven’t seen more people doing the same thing!” - Link. Fans, ventilation holes and dust cleaning (as one of makers suggested) might avoid some problems with a homemade box-solution like this. At this point if any of our devices can be charged via USB (5V, most can) the manufactures could all agree to support that and cut down on a lot of “wall wart” power supplies and/or make it a bit more universal… but the inductive charging folks probably like the cordy mess at the moment.

Networked Air conditioners with AI and remote controllable using PDA or cell phone
Cool high tech air conditioners…
We’re not exactly sure what gives an air conditioner “artificial intelligence,” but our buds at AVING claim to have found one at the Korea Electronics Show, now underway in Seoul. Haier Korea, the Korean branch of the Chinese manufacturing jack-of-all-trades showed off two models, including the KFRd-72LW/O (”standard type”) and the KFRd-35GW/O (”wall mounted type”). Both come with an LED display (but what doesn’t these days?), an air purifier, an anion generator and dehumidifier. And if that wasn’t enough, how about the fact that both air conditioners can be controlled via cell phone or PDA? Yeah, we know you want one — sadly, we don’t know when these will be released, nor how many South Korean won you’ll have to dish out to get ‘em. Keep reading if you’re interested in a close-up of the display, or if you just like watching seals slide down snowy hills on their tummies…
PDA Bluetooth controlled Segway Robot ROVIN
Here’s PDA Bluetooth controlled Segway Robot ROVIN at a Robot Show in Korea, which also can run by itself and play with kids…
This would be a good platform to get started, except $15,000 is kinda pricey…
