VolksWagon 74 mpg Golf BlueMotion Concept!

VolksWagon 74 mpg Golf BlueMotion Concept!

For those of you Volkswagon-lovers or Golf-lovers (the car I mean), you are in luck as VW is working on a 105 horsepower, 184 lbs.-ft. of torque at a low 2,000 rpm diesel engine that could change the way you pump gas forever.

At 74MPG, you would get about 700-800 miles of non-stop driving equal to a drive between San Francisco and Las Vegas almost.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed so that this Golf gets to production.

Debuting in concept form today is the most fuel efficient and cleanest version of Volkswagen’s sixth-generation Golf. Wearing the BlueMotion badge, as is common for VeeDubs with fuel-saving tweaks, the new Golf is able to complete the European driving cycle mileage tests with a rather epic 74 miles per gallon (around 62 mpg in the U.S. if conversions can be trusted). For those who like to keep track of such things, that’s just 99g/km of carbon emissions and an excellent score by any measure. In order to achieve such low fuel consumption and emissions, the Golf BlueMotion is bestowed with a miserly 1.6-liter TDI common rail diesel engine that kicks out 105 horses and 184 lbs.-ft. of torque at a low 2,000 rpm.

235MPG Volkswagon!

282MPG Volkswagon!

If the tour of VW Factory impressed you, I am sure you will enjoy their new 2-seater 235MPG car too.

Volkswagen’s had its super-thrifty One-Liter Car concept vehicle — so named because that’s how much fuel it needs to go 100 kilometers — stashed away for six years. The body’s made of carbon fiber to minimize weight (the entire car weighs just 660 pounds) and company execs didn’t expect the material to become cheap enough to produce the car until 2012.

Pet Toilet Water Bowl!

Pet Toilet Water Bowl!

Don’t drink out of the toilet!   This one’s okay though.

“Don’t drink out of the…” Oh well, in this case it’s OK. Our pet water bowl is a real conversation piece-guests will surely be amused when Fido quenches his thirst in the “commode”! It’s easy to use: Just place a filled, 2-liter plastic bottle (not included) into the “tank” and watch as gravity forces fresh water into the “bowl.” Bowl fills as needed.

Super Sport 2-seater gyroplane

Super Sport 2-seater gyroplane

This thing is tight!

The Super Sport Gyroplane comes with has a roomier cabin (49″ interior width) for better cockpit management and comfort, and a very generous cargo room behind the seats. The cabin is equipped with forced air ventilation and cabin heat. The handsomely designed instrument panel is efficient and also compact. Its 2.5 liter Subaru engine producing 190hp is able to get the little machine to over 100mph.

Super Sport can be taken as a good day tripper, thanks to its range of between 300 and 400 miles from a 30 gallon tank full of ordinary 87 octane unleaded.
