History - German Class “52″ Locomotive

Wow, check out some of these pictures of German Class “52″ Locomotive. Kinda cool if you are into history.
We completed another photo shoot yesterday and made good use of Peter Shaw’s newly completed Class “52 Locomotive, believe me if it looks impressive in the photos it’s even more impressive in the flesh!
GooglePages for DIY simple websites
I personally prefer Wordpress for making a website but you can use GooglePages to create some fun HTML-free webpages using their gadgets modules and click and drag interface. I stumbled upon this while checking out some of the users on Zedomax buddymap. Dr. Proctor had his home page on Googlepages, so I got curious and made my own Googlepage. Kinda cool thing if it gets bigger.
Check it out, Googlepages.
Mini Cooper Billboard in San Francisco

You can see this Mini Cooper Billboard in San Francisco on your way towards Bay Bridge. I guess this is actually RFID enabled which is kinda cool. Yes, it’s a very effective way of advertising as I do read it about 75% of the time that I pass by this spot looking for changes in what the Mini Cooper is saying… (mostly kinda stupid… one time it was saying something like “Be small and Go faster” or something) But it is indeed very creative. I don’t know if it actually can identify Mini drivers but I will try to see if the sign changes next time I see a Mini in front of me… (and take a video of course!)
The boards, which usually carry typical advertising, are programmed to identify approaching Mini drivers through a coded signal from a radio chip embedded in their key fob. The messages are personal, based on questionnaires that owners filled out: “Mary, moving at the speed of justice,” if Mary is a lawyer, or “Mike, the special of the day is speed,” if Mike is a chef.
DIY HOWTO - Photography

Darrell submitted his site today for some link exchange with us today. I checked out his site and it’s kinda cool. Actually Garrett and I were talking over lunch at McDonald’s today that it would be really cool to make some “how to make a good digital photos” DIYs but here it is!
The one above is a photography howto that’s very simple. (What’s the difference between the photos? There are none except two different people took it with the same camera, same time, at the same setting)
I started taking photos over 20 years ago, developing rolls of film using the bathroom as a makeshift darkroom!
I have gone through numerous cameras, printers, software, produced stacks of images, shot weddings, portraits, black and white . . . and after all that I still love my photography!
A few years ago I ditched the film camera and went digital. The potential benefits are huge and I haven’t looked back.
Check out all his other howtos which are geared for regular joes like me…
