DLP TV HACK - How to Reset Your Samsung DLP TV Lamp Hours Setting!
Well, today, my 42″ Samsung DLP TV I bought in 2005 broke down on me. The only thing I got from the TV was a Lamp LED going on and off.
So I figured that it was time for the Lamp to be swapped out for a new one.
Before doing that, I ran into this blog posts about how to reset the Lamp hour setting on the Samsung DLP TV.
Once I resetted the Lamp hour, my TV started working again! Yey, I guess the manufacturer, Samsung, put an hourly limit on the lamp so you replace the lamp but hey, why replace it until it’s truly broken?
Here’s the simple instructions on how to reset that lamp hour setting and make your DLP TV lamp last longer:
Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power.
Your TV set should now say “Loading Factory”.
Browse down to “Option” then press Enter (or the right cursor button).

DIY - How to Make Ping Pong Lights!

Here’s a great DIY on how to make Ping Pong Lights! Actually, the “idea” or the “concept” is very creative.

This is exactly what I need instead of my whiteboard and pens that wear out.
This is a port of Johnny Chung Lee’s Whiteboard app for the actual Wii. Kudos & thanks to Johnny Lee, Team Twiizers, svpe, shagku and para.
To use this application, you need the following:
* A Wii with some method to run homebrew on it, e.g. the Twilight Hack
* Two Wiimotes. Wiimote 1 is for interaction, Wiimote 2 should be positioned somewhere where it can see your entire screen, but not much more. It shouldn’t be moved after you have started the calibration.
* An infrared Light Pen, very easily soldered according to this schematic.

Since I have been playing with green lasers for about a year, I never saw any good use for them except to point them to the sky or buildings.
Since the green laser has a lot of power, especially the one DragonLasers sent me recently, I decided it was time to make a simple green laser projector without me spending days to build one.
This simpler green laser projector was made so I could use it for my next party and I always wanted to make this. Although this laser projector only does one animation, 2 whirpools, I planned to improve upon after making this very basic version.

The Chief Cook Robot Knows how to make an Omelette!

Lol, here’s a cute robot that learns handmovements very fast and can make an Omelette!
By manipulating HOAP-3’s hands, its trainers can show it how to whip eggs, cut ham and toss it in a bowl, and grate cheese. Instead of simply memorizing the movements, the ‘bot generalizes the actions and is able to identify when to properly use them. It’ll also speak as it learns, and let researchers know what it’s doing. If HOAP-3 has any questions, the team uses a remote (or in this case, a Wii remote) to answer them.
