Concept Multi-compartment Refrigerator!

Concept Multi-compartment Refrigerator!
This concept multi-compartment fridge lets you store different food groups separately. Of course, it’s a good way for students to share their fridge without eating up each others food.
This concept (?) fridge from Electrolux uses modular stacking mini-units to provide personal refrigeration compartments for everyone in the household — it’s designed for shared student accomodation:

Australian Student Invents Cheap way to make Solar Cells!

A PhD student in Australia has found a cheap way to make solar cells with household parts. If this process works as well as thought-of, we might have solar cells popping up everywhere with DIYers who make their own solar cells.
An Australian PhD student has found a cheap way to make solar cells with nail polish, a pizza oven and an ink jet printer. 23-year-old Nicole Kuepper’s invention, named iJET, doesn’t require the pricey clean rooms and high-temperature ovens of traditional solar panel manufacturing plants, thus dramatically lowering the cost of solar and paving the road for introducing the technology to third-world countries.

DIY - Robotic Yellow Drum Machine plays Drums!

Wow, this has to be one of the cooler DIY robots I’ve seen in a long time. Basically, it plays drums. Not real drums, but it plays your household stuff like vases as drums. Beautifully done, we give it an A+ for the creators. (Btw, we are not selling the blog for $1000, our readers say it’s too cheap! How much should we sell it for? j/k April FOOLS!)
Notice how the robot first plays on the object it finds (or is forced to find by the angry cameraman), plays a small beat, and records the beat it plays on it. Then this recorded beat is played again, and it starts to play on the object (an belt tracks and everything else it has),and also playing this sampled beat

Wii HACK - Wiimote Curtain Control!
Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode
Haha, this one is cool one to have.
The curtain control system is an existing system from Goelst and is called “G-Rail 6200″. Normally it is controlled by infrared or wallswitches. However, it can also be controlled with a CAN bus. I used this CAN bus to interface with an old PC.
Life on the rocks
Well it could be if these were really rocks that weigh in at 100 pounds or so, but clearly these are just soft furnishings that look like rocks.

The kids clearly love these as will any pets such as the dog, and on an eco friendly matter these are made from 100% virgin wool and naturally they are filled with hypoallergenic polysilicone filler, which just has to be good, doesn’t it?
Sizes may vary as do the colours.

Easy plug switching
For people who have to use an extension lead in order to house all of the plugs that are needed to get power for all of your hi tech gadgets and any else that you are going to need to get you through the day.

This means that the plugs can stay in place but the power can be switched off by just raising the plug and therefore cutting the power to that particular device.

The next a girl goes for her lipstick watch out, because she may be pulling out more from her bag than you originally thought.

Of course she may just be looking for her lipstick, but can you take that chance.

The room in a box
This is a great space saving idea, where everything neatly packs into this small box.

What you get is an armoire, a desk, a height-adjustable stool, two more stools, a six-shelf bookcase, and a bed with a mattress, all in a 31 inch by 47 inch box.

They claim that the contents of the box could be removed and assembled by two people in just ten minutes, with no tools required!

Umbrella stands up
For those of you that actually need to own an umbrella there is one thing that really gets on everyone’s nerves, that is when the old thing is ringing wet it makes a complete mess all over the floor, which just won’t do at all.

But of course the answer was so simple, and here it is with the design by Hironao Tsuboi who has created a self standing umbrella which means that it could be stood up in the bath or balcony and so will not get the floor or anywhere else soaking wet.
