Free wifi coming soon to San Francisco and Zedomax too
Garrett and Kenji have been telling me free wifi is coming to San Francisco pretty soon which isn’t
new since the mayor promised this almost 2 years ago. Anyways, we are looking forward to the
free internet since our pockets are becoming more empty every day. But if you don’t live in SF,
you can always hack a wireless WEP pretty easy. (well, i am not telling you to hack it though…)
Thanks user blade666 for the link!
Cool Youtube Video - Automatic License Recognition
Check out this automatic license recognition system that can capture up to 600 license plates per hour.
It isolates the license number on the license plate and also checks it against the local database.
Well this isn’t good news for me since I still have to get my Motorcycle license. But it’s a good thing to know.
At least it will help if I do lose my car or motorcycle…hehe…
Plus, this thing can capture license plates at 100MPH! Well, you simply have to go faster now if you
have a suspended license or you a bad boy and you are on the run.

MAKE @ Macworld & Apple store THIS WEEK!
Check out Macworld and Apple Store this week in San Francisco! We might be there to exchange
some of our DIY projects for something at the Make Store if that works…hehe…anyways,
we will make sure to take some photos if we do go! Cool, they got some stuff about rss and
podcasting so we might have to go since we are thinking about Zedomax technology video podcasts,
which are on the way… yipee!
Cool, the Macworld show is at Moscone center, my friend Markus works there, he’s probably
setting it up right now! My favorite place for shows since it’s not too far away.
Be sure to check Make out this week and tell them Zedomax guys told them to go!
Some folks from MAKE will be at Macworld & the Apple store this week, stop by and say hi –

Windhunter Maritime Hydrogen Generation System
Check out these cool energy generators with minimal impact on our planet earth!
Hydrogen can be produced by wind turbines and electrolysers on the proposed WINDHUNTER vessels. These ocean going ships will operate out of sight of land either anchored or free floating while facing into the wind and the oncoming waves. Millions of them can operate on the world’s oceans with minimal environmental impact.

Pondering about Barcodes and the future
With all the barcodes existing on the market today, here’s a website that
allows you to make a personalized barcode for yourself.
This may be far off but maybe you can tatoo your barcode and
make a touchscreen barcode system to go with it.
Well with RFID in a crazy takeoff with Wal-mart and all the greedy
mass merchants out there in our world today, we might as well
start making some personalized RFID tags so the government
can track everything we do and everywhere we go.
On the bright side, we will be able to identify people when they are deceased,
cutting down the labor required for cops to identify people and saving
the people some tax monies.

Help us find James Kim by watching the video on ipod and more! Every click will help the video get on top of YouTube.
We’ve received word that a respected member of our tech community, James Kim (whom many of you may know as CNET’s senior editor of digital audio), and his family have gone missing. As we understand it, last weekend James, his wife Kati (above right), and his very young girls Penelope (left) and Sabine (baby), drove from their home in the SF Bay Area to Seattle. They were expected back some time Sunday, but were last seen by a hotel clerk at 5:45 PM on Saturday in or between Gold Beach or Portland, Oregon. We sincerely do hope they are all safe, and our hearts go out to the Kim family.
We’ll have more information as we get it. If you have any information as to the Kim family’s whereabouts, please contact the SFPD at 415-558-5508 during normal business hours, and 415-553-1071 after hours.
