Google GMail Goggles Feature prevents your Drunk E-mails from going out!

Google GMail has added another cool feature that will prevent users from sending unwanted drunk e-mails at the middle of the night. I think it’s a good idea, I admit to sending some e-mails that might have been better kept in my draft box.
When you enable Mail Goggles, it will check that you’re really sure you want to send that late night Friday email. And what better way to check than by making you solve a few simple math problems after you click send to verify you’re in the right state of mind?
Stumbleupon launches its Toolbar-less Browsing Feature!

Stumbleupon launches its Toolbar-less browsing feature, of course, it seems that they have picked on our ideas from SiteHoppin, which is originally based on Toolbar-less browsing.
You can test both out yourself and judge which one is better, I still think my SiteHoppin rocks over SU’s new toolbar-lessness.
Another great news that I should be telling the world is that SiteHoppin will become the first “open-source” platform. (that will be released under GNU license as a MediaWiki extension. You can stay updated on that on my MediaWiki page)
The reason I am going open-source is to open the development of SiteHoppin to the world, just like Google Android, Google Chrome, etc…etc…
Besides that, I don’t have whole lotta time to develop SiteHoppin anymore, it takes me all day to code the site. It would be great if I can share my knowledge to the world and also have other developers contribute to the “knowledge”.
But first, we will be going through an “image” change from beers to something more appropriate. We have been messing around too much and partying it up but we should be back in full-force with some open-source code and official “launch” as we are still in beta for last 10 months.
DIY - How to Save Earth through Green Commuting!

With the gas prices these days, it makes sense that you do your part to help cut down on energy costs.
Here’s a couple tips for green commuting:
1. If you drive an SUV or anything that guzzles gas more than 20MPG, you should really either get a smaller vehicle for commuting or take public transportation.
2. If you want to have fun while saving gas, try getting yourself a motorcycle such as the Suzuki GSX-R1000 pictured above, you will get 50MPG+ on every commute to work while being able to cut through dense traffic. (In California, it’s legal to drive between cars, of course, this isn’t super safe but pretty safe if you are in a dead-stop traffic.) This is the method I used to use when I had a 9 to 5 (8 to 5 actually) job.
Electric cars are great but they still get you stuck in traffic with its massive body, a bike is probably the most efficient way to get around without having to spend more time in public transportation or dead-stop traffic.
3. Public transportation is great for saving some money and you can relax while going to work. Even better, get a netbook equipped with a broadband card then you can surf the web while going to work. Map out the shortest public route using Google’s bus route feature. (I use this on my Blackberry on the go if I am taking buses in San Francisco and works great for real-time adjustments)
4. Move to an urban area with lots of people and public transportation, preferably a metrolpolitan city such as San Francisco or New York. If you are going to live in LA, you will have to suffer the consequences of bad traffic and long travels between “anything”. Avoid cities where you must drive a lot or in constant traffic.
Metropolitan cities dense with population usually means short walking distances to most things in life such as groceries, retail shops, etc…etc… On an average, people in big cities save more energy since a big percentage of people use transportation and are also more green-conscious.
I have to admit to living in a suburban neighborhood where it took 5 miles to get to 7-eleven or even a gas station, that’s a big waste anytime you want to do something.
If you really feel you can’t be a city slicker, you will need to get the Suzuki Gixxer man…
5. If you job can be done from your home computer, ask your boss if you can work from home at least once a week. Everybody’s doing this and if your boss says no, he’s called an A-hole.
6. If you do drive your car, make a short to-do list of where and what so you get everything done efficiently.
7. Turn your electronic devices off when not in use such as the cable box, lights, etc…etc…
8. STAY AWAY FROM TRAFFIC whenever possible. Always schedule yourself to stay out of rush traffic hours.
I used to go to work 5 in the morning just so I could avoid traffic, you should too since early bird eats the worm.
Well, I am sure there’s more stuff you can do, it’s really common sense and trying to help earth will also help your life.

Here’s another video of the T-Mobile G1 with demos of various features including Google Talk.
I already have Google Talk on my Blackberry but this one looks cooler.
I think there’s a very good chance T-Mobile G1 will be taking over some of that iPhone sales. (Sorry Steve Jobs but G1 phone looks like an iPhone Killer to me…)

Here’s the pics and vids for the T-mobile G1, world’s first ever Google Android-enabled cellphone.
I do like the big keyboard but I am not a big fan of flip-tops as I can’t type while I am driving. (That’s why I stick with a Blackberry for now)
Google Chrome Tips - Dev and Beta Channel Introduced!

In case you don’t know, there’s a program you can download that will let your Google Chrome Browser be updated with the “Dev” mode, which gets you updates as soon as they are available. In the “Beta” normal mode, updates will be delayed until they are considered “stable”.
Subscribing to the Dev channel
1. Download and run the Google Chrome Channel Chooser (http://chromium.googlecode.com/files/chromechannel-1.0.exe).
2. Click the circle next to Dev.
3. Click Update to save your choice.
4. Click Close.
5. In Google Chrome, click the wrench menu and choose About Google Chrome.
Note: On Windows Vista, updates from the About box require Service Pack 1. With 0.2.149.29 (the current release), on demand updates do not work in Vista SP1 if User Account Control is disabled.
6. Click Update Now to install the current Dev channel release.
7. Restart Google Chrome.
Palin HACKED - Palin’s E-Mail Hacker tells us how he/she did it!

I was kinda bitter yesterday that Palin let her Yahoo e-mail account be hacked. Well, I am even more bitter now that the Palin’s e-mail hacker responded with how he/she “hacked” Palin’s e-mail account.
Here’s the excerpt:
after the password recovery was reenabled, it took seriously 45 mins on wikipedia and google to find the info, Birthday? 15 seconds on wikipedia, zip code? well she had always been from wasilla, and it only has 2 zip codes (thanks online postal service!)
the second was somewhat harder, the question was “where did you meet your spouse?” did some research, and apparently she had eloped with mister palin after college, if youll look on some of the screenshits that I took and other fellow anon have so graciously put on photobucket you will see the google search for “palin eloped” or some such in one of the tabs.
I found out later though more research that they met at high school, so I did variations of that, high, high school, eventually hit on “Wasilla high” I promptly changed the password to popcorn and took a cold shower…
It seems that her account password was very easy to crack using public information. Well, there goes the Alaskan mayor’s governor’s credibility down the drain.

Here’s a video of the new Mobile GoogleMaps version 2.3.1 with StreetView on my Blackberry 8830. Above is me spying on Google’s San Francisco headquarter on 345 Spear Street.
Anyways, the new mobile GoogleMaps is pretty darn slow but I ain’t complaining since I am sure they will make it faster in the upcoming versions.
Mobile GoogleMaps now includes Street View!

Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode
Google has just launched its new Mobile GoogleMaps that includes Street View. Now you can see the street view on your Blackberry or PDA just like the destop version.
Today we’re launching a new version of Google Maps for mobile with the same street-level imagery available on desktop. Wondering if the restaurant in your search results is the one you’re thinking of? Just click “Street View” after your search to see the storefront. Unsure about a complicated intersection in your directions? Use Street View to see a photo, so there’s no mistaking your turn. You can also launch Street View from any address where we have photography, or simply by clicking on the map and selecting “Street View”. You can browse Street View overlaid on the map or in full screen, rotate your view to see more of your surroundings, and move along the street.
