Chinese Nintendo Wii Clone - Rumdes V-Sports Game Console!

As bad as it sounds, the new Chinese Nintendo Wii dubbed, “Rumdes V-Sports Game Console“, may pick up in sales real soon as it’s 1/3 cost of a Wii unit.
My thoughts on the Chinese Wii?
Well, it looks pretty good enough. My only concern is that everything is copies/copied for people in China. I mean, will they ever get the real stuff???
Besides that, this game console looks pretty cheesy but fun. I want to get this so I can play some Wii-like games without paying for one.

Korean JATY Navigation does Breathalyzer!

Here’s an innovative idea for all future navigation systems, to include a breathalyzer. How many DUI convictions would we save for an extra sensor and some stupid program that’d probably cost the navigation manufacturer extra 5 bucks?
At least, we know exactly what “level” we are on before driving.
Those crazy Koreans have brought out a new auto toy to tell if you’re fit to drive after a few jars of the sauce. Yes, the JATY DR7200 doubles as a breathalyzer as well as a GPS buddy, MP3 player, ebook reader, DMB television device, games console and all round modern day motoring Swiss Army Knife.

Improved Motion Sensing for Wii Controller with Wii MotionPlus!

Nintendo just announced their new improved motion sensing module called Wii MotionPlus that you can plug into an existing Wii controller.
Nintendo’s upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. The Wii MotionPlus accessory reconfirms Nintendo’s commitment to making games intuitive and accessible for everyone. Nintendo will reveal more details about the Wii MotionPlus accessory and other topics Tuesday morning at its E3 media briefing.
GeoQuake brings you GoogleMaps Driving Game!

Now, you can drive on GoogleMaps or fly on GoogleEarth.
It’s really fun, I think there’s a potential for dozens of games and money to made off these types of apps.
The first, taking advantage of Google Maps’ new ability to work with Flash applications, lets you drive a car, bus, or truck around Google Maps. It won’t bat an eye if you drive through a building or into the ocean, but Katsuomi Kobayashi, the programmer from Osaka, Japan, who wrote it, was happy to note that the software can display images at 40 frames per second vs. 20 at best for JavaScript. And it uses less CPU power, too.

DIY HACK - How to make an NES Game Cartridge Harmonica or ‘HarmoNESica’!

This one deserves our attention due to the fact that the creator is ‘masked’ to protect his online identity. Just kidding, this DIY is about how to make an NES Game Cartridge, (that’s right, I bet you got one of those in your garage somewhere) into a HarmoNESica.
Basically, it’s a Harmonica, but you can make it look cool. These days, people will making anything out of NES controllers, cables, and now…cartridges.
Watch the video if you want to see it in action. (Looks like he made this to promote his favorite NFL team.)

That’s a NES cartridge and a harmonica. I think you know where this is going. This is going exactly where the intersection of nostalgia and commercialism should have gone like ten freaking years ago. I’ve googled all sorts of combinations like “NES harmonica” and “nintendo harmonica” and “NES cartridge instrument” and I can’t find anything like this. Everybody talks about blowing on the game like a harmonica, but as far as I know I’m the first person on the Internet to actually use a harmonica.
Mint chocolate chip ice cream provided for scale.
I began my journey with what I thought was a solid plan. I had a cart I was willing to bust open, I had a harmonica I had purchased specifically to be busted open, and I had a brand-new Dremel to bring the magic. There’s also a package of Dremel drill bits and a bag of #4-40 3/4″ bolts with included nuts…

You know, sometimes people don’t realize the power of the people on the internet.
Above video is where a kid gets an “X” box for Christmas with winter clothes inside it.
I guess Engadget posted this and Microsoft might be sending him a brand new real XBOX with probably more goodies than he can handle.
Great job guys.
We’ve been flooded with email from well-meaning geeks and even Microsoft; just about everyone wants to help us hook up Jonathan. We totally appreciate the sentiment, but we’ve got this covered. We think we’ve gotten in touch with his family (who let us know he never got an Xbox, and the whole thing really was a prank on the poor kid); once we know for sure we have the right people we’ll post again.
On another plus note, I got $5 from Big Pappa and $10 from Mike to get more Soju over at SiteHoppin.com. (Thanks guys, I will be able to afford brew for couple more days!)
Playstation that tracks your face!
This is kinda cool… except who still uses Playstation? They should have really put this on a PS2 or PS3 at least.
As you can see in the video it works great, and would be brilliant for duck-and-cover maneuvering in first-person shooters. However, as you might guess, support for games has yet to be announced
