Happy St. Patrick’s Day! - Brooklyn Brewery is the ‘real’ Green Beer!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Make sure to get that Easter egg and your Irish lunch and dinner.
On a green note, Brooklyn Brewery claims to be the ‘real’ Green Beer with its brewing facility souped up with wind-generated electricity:
Brooklyn Brewery, located on Brewer’s Row in Brooklyn, New York, is one of a handful of breweries around the country that uses sustainable energy when producing its beer.
Its choice of method is wind power, which provides 100 percent of the brewery’s energy needs, making the 1,658,000 gallons of beer it produces green year-round. Brooklyn Brewery’s energy bills are 10 percent to 13 percent higher than they would be otherwise, but its operators say leaning on alternative energy just makes sense.
When I use to work at Comfile, I did work with a lot of these engineers that were working on wind-generated electricity. It IS very interesting subject from engineering perspective also.
These days, it’s very common to seeing more businesses going green. Especially since today is about being ‘green’, whether that’s about getting super drunk or saving earth, it’s a good day to celebrate the greenness.
On the side note, we are glad to announce that Keetsa, one of the green blogs I manage, has got its products on The View show on ABC! Make sure to check it out as one of my favorite HGTV green hosts, Carter Oosterhouse is the one telling people about Keetsa eco-friendly mattresses.
Why are/aren’t you wearing green today?
Food Fight!!!
Self shaking salt and pepper pots
There is no doubt that there could be a huge market for these pots that do all of the work for you, and as gadgets should be created to make our lives a lot easier then that is the main point covered.

Obviously by using this there is no chance of burning off any calories, so maybe there should be a warning on the packaging somewhere. But really they should be thinking of a way that actually lifts the pot too!

Flying around
If you like to fool around with people’s minds, then this is what you need to get and fast before they fly away!

These flies look as if they are eating your hand away, but in fact are rings that slip over your finger and look very much like the real thing. There are loads of applications that this could be used for; they are especially good when you are serving up food!

Pen cutlery

What a great idea! No more hunting around for that dirty old spoon or fork, this will is virtually a life saver when you think of all the bacteria that are all around the office these days.

These eating tools work in conjunction with your ball point pens, this makes it easier to eat with and handle the food properly without getting it all down your clothes!

A mini microwave
This is ideal for the office or workplace and is just ideal for the single cup of coffee.

We seem to be getting everything in miniature these days; I just cannot even imagine what the next device will be. There is one disappointing fact about this little thing, which is its not powered by USB, after all everything is!

The storage ring

Well this may look like something that would find on side of ship for helping someone who ahs fallen over board, but in reality these are storage devices.

You can see that there is a distinct advantage here with them being on the wall etc, but if you are putting fruit inside of them, then there are two things wrong with that, one is the fruit has to be all the same size and secondly what happens if a piece of fruit goes rotten?

Tech Review - Nesco Food Dehydrator I got at Wal-Mart for Christmas!

Here’s a video tech review of Nesco Food Dehydrator. I know, I sound a lot like this guy but oh well…
The greatest thing is that I got this Food Dehydrator I’ve always wanted but it looks like it’s not the RonCo Food Dehydrator I saw on TV about 10 years ago. It turns out Nesco is some copycat but it works well.
I searched on the internet and there’s bunch of Food Dehydrators you can get and start making your own Apple chips or beef jerkey.
The point of this story? Get a Food Dehydrator and get your life back on the healthy snack track.
It’s the turbofan toaster
Most people like a piece of toast every now and then, but with a conventional toaster it sometimes catches and burns or is under done, which is a bit of pain.

However this is the toaster to beat all toasters as it will make a piece of toast within fifty seconds, which will mean that the baked beans will not get cold while you are waiting for the toast to cook.
The fans will wiz around at 10,000 rpm, which is how the toaster can cook a slice of toast in about third of the time that a normal toaster would take, so it saves energy too.
