Here’s a good idea and DIY on how to make an HID flashlight. It shouldn’t be too hard as all cars use 12V DC power so you just need to find a 12V battery for whatever car part you want to use.

Once or twice a year, my family and I go camping with some friends. Usually we show up at night and have to set up camp in the dark. This can get pretty frustrating using just regular flashlights and using car headlights is difficult to move around. So I came up with a way to make a HID flashlight that has become very useful for not only camping but is a great tool to keep in the car in case of emergencies (flat tires, etc).

This CellPac power pack will give the user as much power as 40 AA batteries could provide, which if you wanted it in another way, this is enough power to fully charge up a cell phone ten times.

This power pack will is compact too, it will fit easily into a pocket and of course can be used anywhere that you would want to, as the CellPac could be used in emergencies where power has been interrupted.

Now this is a really neat little idea that could put some light on the subject! This torch is merely a nine volt battery with the business end of a torch fixed onto to it, this is one of those things that everyone could have made, but never got around to it.

These are handy to place in cupboards and drawers for emergencies as they do not take up much room. The torch bit has the light and a handy switch for turning it off; there are some devices that do not have this feature, so it is quite a neat idea.

Cost id expected to be around $10, not sure if battery included or not!

Now not many people smoke these days, yet we still have cigarette lighters in the cars, so clearly we need something useful to replace the lighter.

Luckily there is this powerful LED light that is placed into the cigarette lighter housing, where it charges up, now you have a great portable light to use in emergencies, or for just reading maps or directions, what could be simpler.

Some car owners are already using these devices as they are already installed in some up market cars like BMW.

This one will cost around $20.
