Gooef, Eco-Friendly and Green Search Engine Launched!

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Educational, Gadgets, Network, News, WebApp by max on the May 15th, 2008 at 5:46 pm

We just launched Gooef.com, an eco-friendly and green search engine over at Keetsa.com.  If you are into eco-friendly stuff, try typing in something like, “gadgets” and you will get a nice list of eco-friendly and green gadgets.

I know, the name sounds kinda goofy but the “ef” actually stands for “eco-friendly”.

Keetsa Blog, an eco-friendly and green blog in the Zedomax Network, launches Gooef.com, an eco-friendly and green search engine.

We did launch Goohack.com and Goodrunk.com last week, we figure these search engines are fun and decided to add more.

For example, you can type “designer bags” on Gooef and get a good list of eco-friendly designer bags back as the result.

Here’s a current list of sites included in the new eco-friendly and green search engine:

keetsa.com | groovyvegetarian.com | inhabitat.com | treehugger.com | buildinggreentv.com | bdpollution.blogspot.com | blog.jollygreengirl.com | equitygreen.typepad.com | victoria-e.com | ecoshopper.net | g2bgreen.com | carteroosterhouse.com | re-nest.com

Wow, check out this cool sound trigger circuit DIY for High Speed Photography!

The general use is quite simple: setup a noisy event to trigger the flash. Since I am using the Sigma EF-500 Flash, which have an internal “dumb slave”, I activate a led to tell the flash when to fire. A more general solution can be found here.

he circuit consists of 2 parts. The first part is a very simple microphone pre-amplifier. The second is the light generator, to trig the Flash.
