Here’s a really cool PC Case mod, a DIY on how to make mirror-finish PC Case surface.

Spray paint your PC case and give it a mirror finish.
You won’t need expensive painting equipment and supplies.
You’ll find most of the products I used at hardware and
automotive stores.

3M Perfect It III Compounds and 3M Imperial Hand Glaze is usually sold in Autobody Supply Stores, but I’ve linked them to an online resource.
I prefer using carnauba type car wax, but any automotive wax will work fine.
Regardless of wax used, you must allow paint to cure for at least 30 days before applying wax.

Do you have a manual stick-shift car?  Then, you might want to look into building your own Human Hand Stick Shifter and do lots of high fives everytime you drive.

I think few people who drive manual transmission cars actively think about driving as controlling a gigantic machine moving with a lot of momentum, via a huge rod that goes directly through the floor and moves a set of meshing teeth around in an engine that’s actually running. It’s one of the few places today where you’re moving mechanical bits around in a real machine. So the idea behind the hand is to remember that you’re working with the car to make it move, sort of holding the car’s hand.

“The workings of a hovercraft are fairly straightforward: one high-power motor with an airplane propeller forces air down through the hole in the center, which pushes the bottom of the hovercraft off the ground. This greatly reduces friction, allowing the hovercraft to scoot around without much trouble. It also makes it much more difficult to control, however: when the hovercraft turns, it will keep traveling in a straight line unless more thrust is applied. Since we are used to controlling cars or boats, the newtonian behavior of a hovercraft is challenging indeed. The body of the hovercraft is made out of styrofoam, cut with a saw and sanded to smooth the edges. The skirt on the bottom is made out of pieces of a plastic GAP bag, attached with Scotch tape and hot glue. The radio control unit was scavenged from an old boat I had, along with the drive motor mounted on the wooden supports, while the lifting motor was from my physics teacher. The battery is 300 mAh 6V NiMH (or NiCd, I forget), and I have a pair of them. They were about $6-$10 each (again, forgot) and about $12 for the 2 1/2 hour charger. The servomotor for steering was from an old RC car I had”

Here’s a cool way to paint all your gadgets to become ultra-violet reactive.

Commercial UV paint is far too expensive. Using extremely UV reactive yard marking paint from any hardware store, you can pimp your case for just 26 cents an ounce! Check out our DIY HacknMod.com demonstration video.

Wow, here’s a really cool DIY on how to make a Tennis Ball Massage Chair that will get leave you feeling fully relaxed. Even better, you could probably substitute any type of ball such as golf balls to get a different effect.(softer or harder)

The tennis balls you see are not glued in place; they are held only by different-sized holes in the top and bottom sheets of plywood. The holes on the bottom are smaller so the balls don’t push through when you sit on it. To create the contoured effect, the sizes of the top and bottom holes vary in specific ratios. The balls can still freely rotate and some of them can come all the way out. That said, it is much easier to make without all the contouring, but decidedly less comfortable. I made prototype version in which the balls do not contour, and will include some pictures of that chair at the end of the instructable.

No, this isn’t your Russian roulette or Vegas roulette you are more familiar with.  It’s a “techno-geek” coffee roulette machine made from worn-out harddrives to find out who’s making coffee for the day.

This is a gadget made from recycled computer parts to give an absolute, unequivocal and irrefutable answer to that eternal office question - “Whose turn is it to make the coffee?” Each time the power is turned on, this wonderful device will randomly select a person to do the coffee-run.
