For most people who work at  a job during the day, you will either need to find a good day care place or a babysitter.  I happened to stumble across a cool article on how to find a babysitter.  I do think most of it is common sense but it doesn’t hurt to read a helpful article like this, especially when it’s your little one’s life on the line. - link It is vital that ...

Marimba may be one of the coolest musical instruments on earth today with its ability to make relaxing beach-resort sounds.  Well, you don’t have to wait until you are in Jamaica to hear the Marimba, you can build your own like this guy did. - link I am a mallet percussionist who loves the marimba. About four years ago I had a problem. Though I loved percussion, I had no way of pr ...

It’s common sense that shopping online reduces CO2 and saves carbon footprint and it’s better for the environment. Why? Well, think of it this way, if every retail store shipped their products from one central warehouse location instead of hauling products to each and every retail store using pollution-causing big rig trucks, there would be a LOT of less gas spent of transpo ...

When I used to work near downtown San Francisco couple years back, I used to make friends with couple homeless people.  What I’ve found out during our friendship was probably more valuable than anything you could learn from Stanford or Harvard MBA.  (It’s true, the real secrets of life are learned outside school, outside the box.) Anyways, I used to just hook up one of my h ...

Although this might come as common sense, some people might not realize that big file formats are actually bad for displaying on your digital photo frames. Andrew, one of our blog search engin network bloggers, has a detailed explanation of which file formats are best for your digital photo frame: If you do use an SLR, make sure to check out the file size of the photos, as SLRs often sh ...

One of my favorite books is “Click” by Bill Tancer, it’s a book about how millions of people are clicking and why it matters.  Of course, I’ve devised my own plans on how millions of people are clicking and how to make them click 2-3 times more. (I will have a blog post on that too on my Adsense Optimization blog soon.) Anyways, in the book Click, Bill Tancer go ...

Well, recent study concludes that your iPod earphones can cause hearing loss.  Of course, I can admit to losing hearing over the last couple years while listening to my iPod and iPod Touch.  My wish is that there’s a successful class lawsuit against Apple so I can get some money.  I don’t mind the hearing loss that much but free money is always good.  Just be careful thou ...

This one’s pretty much common sense but still a really good idea on how to make heat blocking curtains using insulated materials. To save electricity with our super expensive A/C, I constructed reflective curtains to block sunlight from warming our house. Think auto windshield. This is super simple and kind of obvious, but it works well. via instructables ...

This doesn’t even qualify as a decent DIY but at least there was someone who sacrificed their skin to laser radiation just to get this thing documented at instructables. But yes, DO NOT use lasers to make tatoos.  This is a no-no unless you want to die of cancer real soon.  Use your common sense, this probably was just (a horrible attempt) to bring more web traffic to instructab ...

Okay, here’s a coffee cup carry back that actually makes sense. This isn’t innovative, it’s probably more common sense. I’ve gone to McDonald’s about 2 times last week and their cup holders straight up SUCK because you have to hold the thing at the bottom and it wobbles. To demonstrate what I mean take a look at the Mickey D’s cup holder I have here: ...
