Chocolate, Is it Bad for Dogs?

If you are a dog owner, you might have heard that chocolate is poisonous to dogs. Well, according to sources, it is toxic, but not unless the dog eats a certain amount. In other words, chocolate may have to be treated sorta like alcohol for dogs and do in moderation.
We’ve all heard it, “Don’t give your dog chocolate it will kill him”. We’ll how true is it you’re probably wondering. Do I have to rush him to an emergency vet if he ate one of my M&M’s?
The truth is chocolate contains theobromine that is toxic to dogs in sufficient quantities. This is a xanthine compound in the same family of caffeine, and theophylline.
The good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine 100-150 mg/kg to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration.
A Clock Made from Recycled Coffee Cups!

Here’s another nifty little clock made from recycled coffee cups. It doesn’t look like a coffee cup anymore, does it?
Yes believe it or not this clock has been made from recycled vending machine cups. This means every time that you visit that vending machine at work and get a coffee, tea or chocolate don’t just throw that cup away, recycle it as there are many things that can be made from them.
DIY - How to Measure Speed of Light using Chocolate!

Here’s a really cool science experiment that allows you to measure speed of light by putting chocolate in the microwave and measuring the hot spots.
In this Instructable, the first in a series using the book How to Fossilize Your Hamster And Other Amazing Experiments for the Armchair Scientist as inspiration, we use a bar of chocolate to measure the speed of light.
How do you like it soft or hard?
Of course we are talking about chocolate here, what else did you think? This is the DARS brand of chocolate from yes you have guessed it Japan.

You see they just know how to bring in something that everyone wants, now this is it each wrapper has an indicator on it, which simply lets you know if the chocolate inside soft, hard or just right, how great is that.
Apparently 22 C or 71.6 F is the perfect temperature for chocolate!

The $26 laptop
We have all heard about the cheap new laptops that are hitting the market, which is great they give everyone a great chance of owning a laptop etc.

But this one is only $26 and it’s brand new, but unfortunately it’s made of cardboard and the keys are made of chocolate. Naturally this comes from Germany who like to make some really great things out of the brown stuff.
I know some people who would prefer this one to the real thing!
