Motorola get the Pico Projector
This piece of design was first shown at the CES, but nobody was sure where this was going to go, but now we do. Microvision has sign up with Motorola to allow the projection system to be integrated into future Motorola devices.

There will be a demo phone mocked to show how good this device could be. The prototype will be using the next WVGA, 854 x 480 pixel wide angle scanner; this is the one that Microvision introduced at the May SID conference.
This device will be great for watching streamed video and even games.

The SMS receiving mirror
This is great your in the bathroom getting ready for work when all of a sudden a message pops up in front of you, so how great would that be?

Designed by Robert Stadler from French Designers Radi Designers, the mirror can receive a message sent to it by a mobile phone. These messages appear in the mirror as a luminous text, running through the mirrors surface.
Unfortunately there will be no escape from the SMS.

Colorware iPhone Cover
These covers are pretty awesome, because you are able to customize them to your own designs; there is nothing like being able to create your own designs is there? But if you do not have an iPhone yet, don’t worry because you can buy the iPhone from Colorware and have your cover designed to your own specs.

If you are looking to buy just the cover, then all you need to is send off your iPhone and it will be customized for you and sent back.

But you can also buy a either a 4GB or 8GB iPhone from Colorware and still get it customized to your on designs.

Prices, if you send in your iPhone the customization will cost $149, but if you are looking to buy an iPhone and to have the custom effect applied to it then the prices will be as follows, 4GB is $649 and the 8GB is $749. Customization will take between 8 and 10 days.

The Original Apple iPhone
This phone was first conceived around 25 years ago, see the image. It was the brain child of Hartmut Esslinger who went on to design the Apple IIc Computer. Clearly this phone did not make it into production, what a shame, imagine all of those checks you could write and send to people.

It just goes to show that the good ideas are the best ones, and even if it did take just twenty five years to get the phone out to the people, it was all worth it.

Transformer cell phone
This transformer cell phone design, is really cool, but is it a real cell phone or toy? That is the question that needs to be answered, the design is from the Parkoz site, but there are no clues as to whether or not this is real or not.

There is a hint of films gone by in the robot design too, think back and see how many more movie robots you can think of, with the mini guns effect?
The transformer campaign has been going for some time, yet there are not many practical applications only toys.

What ever happen to radical students?
They may well be alive and kicking on some campuses, but those students who go to or will be going to Pennsylvania’s Slippery Rock University. For they will be tagged with a simple RFID tag which will be placed on the handset of their cell phone.

They say that this is not to keep track of anyone, but to enable the students to pay for products and services, such as laundry, stationary, movies and groceries, (My god what has happened to students these days?) the students are then billed as they go.

iPhone HACK - Use iPhone as iPod and Wifi device if you don’t like AT&T
So, you like the iPhone but you don’t want the crappy GSM service from AT&T? If you can get hands on an iPhone, you can use the following hack and just use it for music and as a Wifi mobile device. Not that I’d recommend this route but it’s good to know you don’t have to send all your personal information to AT&T or pay them any money.

Download Phone Activation Server v1.0 to activate your iPhone for iPod+WiFi use. Note that this application will not do anything unless you understand the magic numbers as well as add the hosts entry. Phone Activation Server (PAS) requires that you have the MS .NET Framework 2.0 installed.
Download PAS v1.0 Source Code.
