The first one is pictured above and uses a solar torch (the ones used for garden lights).

Is this a giant light sabre
Well it could be but in reality this is a hugely powerful light, which reaches a maximum power threshold of thirty eighty million candle power, which is a lot of candles.

It can shine a beam of light up to four mile away, which would be good for sending signals around town, but there a slight draw back, it uses fifty four batteries, which is going to make this fairly heavy! And pretty expensive to replace when they run out.

A strange looking candle
