My friend James is also giving out some free One Buck Wiki pages!

Posted in Contest, Cool by max on the January 14th, 2008 at 3:08 am

It’s weird but page sales have just recently just took off again. It must be a weather thing.

Anyways, my friend James is also giving out free One Buck Wiki pages over at his blog over here.

Here’s how you can enter:

With these contests there is always some type of requirement to enter right? Well I am going to try and make it easy and give you some choices with how you can enter. For 1 entry you can just Subscribe to Total Web Review by Email. Easy enough right? How about if you want to increase your chances of winning? Well you can write a post on your blog about the new site from the creators of OneBuckWiki. It is called SiteHoppin’. Do something similar to the one that I did (SiteHoppin post), mention OneBuckWiki also, link to both of those sites and this post, and you will earn 10 entries. That could just tip the scales in your favor right? Well there is a few more things that you can do;
1 entry stumble this post
1 entry digg this post (this no longer qualifies for an entry, those that did still receive one entry if you notified me of your entry. I no longer have access to digg and it seems that they have took all of the diggs from my articles)
1 entry join SiteHoppin
1 entry reply to this post
1 entry Zoom this post ( see the zoom button below)
Now that gives you 7 ways to enter and if you do all 6 then you will have 15 entries.

via TotalWebReview

Wow, I didn’t even notice that you can win by joining SiteHoppin. (That’s COOL!)

Why BlogRush will die and SiteHoppin will exponentially grow!

Posted in AOL, Blog, Cool, Google, SiteHoppin, Social Networking, Web, Wordpress, Yahoo by max on the January 8th, 2008 at 8:02 pm

Why BlogRush will die and SiteHoppin will exponentially grow!

Why BlogRush will die and SiteHoppin will exponentially grow!2

Remember I did a review of Blogrush and Entrecard right before Entrecard started taking off?

Well, here’s why BlogRush will die and SiteHoppin will exponentially grow! (Sorry John, we are just using your site as comparison, no pun intended)

1. SiteHoppin is like a dog. Well, here’s how I got that analogy. I don’t own a dog but I do love dogs and my parents have dogs. During the last few days I was taking care of Za, my girlfriend’s brother’s dog, I have come to realize that SiteHoppin is like a dog who takes a leak here and there so other dogs can find it and mark their territory.

What the heck does that have to do with exponentially growing? Well, dogs like to mark their territories everywhere they go. They will only “mark” their spots in certain location they sense the “smell”. I don’t know how they do it. But it’s how dogs interact or communicate with each other. Basically, every time you take a leak, you are leaving a trace for the other dogs.

Well, SiteHoppin is no different. Every time you visit a site on SiteHoppin, you are marking your territory on someone’s site. Those site owners find out through site stats and get to know SiteHoppin and start using it to promote their sites. You can see some of the stats here to see what I mean here on the new SiteHoppin blog.

So, what the heck is the point of the story? Nothing. We are thanking everyone who has signed up for SiteHoppin’ and we promise the first-comers will get massive traffic in return.

As you can see in the above graph, we should be able to eclipse BlogRush very soon if our traffic keeps rising. In just 7 days since our public beta launch, we have gained at least 50% as much as traffic as Blogrush. (not that that’s a real accomplishment…) Join the new phenomenon, go try out SiteHoppin as it’s being developed LIVE! (It’s like watching a cooking show on TV, kinda like IronChef where you get to “see” the process)

Well, we will stop selling our new wiki technology here and start blogging more about other CES 2008 stuff.

Here’s the fun part:

SiteHoppin vs. Zedomax

Check out the pageviews of SiteHoppin vs. Zedomax.com. SiteHoppin gets almost 3 times more pageviews! I guess that’s probably from all the people that are SiteHoppin’… :p

Best Tech Blogs Tag Browsing with SiteHoppin’!

Posted in Consumer, SiteHoppin, Web by max on the January 6th, 2008 at 10:41 am

Hi all,

I’ve compiled a list of tech blogs I visit daily from the Zedomax Friend’s list. If you don’t update your blog daily, you were probably excluded from the list. (But you are always welcome to add yourself.)

You can simply check out the URL below and keep pressing on the “SiteHoppin” button to browse really really fast.

This is the “Best tech blogs” list on SiteHoppin. If your blog isn’t a blog or doesn’t talk about tech, we probably excluded you. (You can always go make your own lists too!)

http://sitehoppin.com/Special:Random?tags=Best-tech-blogs&mode=2

With the addition of SiteHoppin, I will be able to post more blog posts so watch out!

SiteHoppin - the new search engine for iPhone that let’s you surf faster!

Posted in Consumer, Gadgets, Web, cell phones by max on the January 6th, 2008 at 12:59 am

Tight!

Cool stuff, thanks to guys at planet-iphones.com for posting this! :) You guys rock!

All the the SiteHoppin’ says it’s developed by drunken people, (well it’s true), we didn’t mention the fact that we worked night and day to get this site ready for 2008 working through Christmas and New Years. Yes, call us Scrooge. But we are not rich as scrooge and have to work hard. (Yes, you should work hard too for your dreams! :) )

For 2008, well at least starting from today, we will try to ignore all nay-sayers as it’s really creeping into our good positive mode. (Don’t want to ruin that do we?)

Thanks everyone for the support and blog posts. I think sometimes people get too into the internet.(including myself) It’s just a machine yo, grow up and go play golf once in awhile so you don’t make IT your life! (I will be hitting the links tomorrow for sure!)

Make sure to check my latest swing tips on ProGolferDigest.com, a blog I make blog posts only when I do go out golfin’.

Today, I had the pleasure of driving to my sister’s business, Keetsa.com, an eco-friendly Mattress store. Anyways, since I don’t have an iPhone right now, I borrowed hers to see if you can browse new sites using SiteHoppin.com.

The result? Fantastic! SiteHoppin works perfectly with iPhone. You can now find new sites without typing or clicking much on your iPhone while you are in the bus, bart, airplane, or whereever!

Think about how much time you’d save if you didn’t have to type “zedomax” on Google to find this site. You’d be checking out new interesting sites in a flash!

My friend Gyutae is having a contest for T-shirts and $100 in CASH!

Posted in Blog, Business, Cool, Social Networking, Web, money by max on the January 4th, 2008 at 8:40 pm

wtw-tshirts.jpg

My blogger friend Gyutae is having a contest for T-shirts and $100 in cash. All you gotta do is pick the right winner and write a blog post about it. (It seems like there’s so many contests these days, you could probably make a living just entering all of them)

My vote goes to Gyutae’s Winning the Web since he’s always coming up with new contests. He’s blog got a big 200 RSS reader jump from his contest on JohnChow.com and JohnCow.com. (Amazing!) (You should take look at Bloggin-Ads.com by Mike too, he picked up about the same in about the same period! I think these 2 bloggers are really growing their blogs explosively. I remember when Zedomax started out almost a year and half ago and I had 200 RSS readers in like 1 year, not just couple months.)

Why am I posting this? Well, honestly, I can’t even afford a T-shirt right now as I invested all my money in SiteHoppin.com. (Well, for the beers I need to drink to be drunk to develop the site…right, it’s like the Drunken style in Kung Fu, you can’t master the art without actually putting yourself in it) I wanna win a T-shirt so I can go wear it proudly in downtown San Francisco. (j/k… I’ve been in front of a computer for so long for last couple months, I don’t even know the last time I went shopping…)

The real funny part is picture from TylerCruz here:

Also check out Gyutae’s post on 11 ways to maximize your blog subscribers:

  • Follow a set posting schedule
Following a set schedule will help your readers connect to your blog and learn when to expect new posts. This usually means more subscribers to your blog.
  • Provide great content
In the end, it’s all about great content. Without it, all of your marketing efforts will fall short of meeting your goals for feed subscribers. Make this a priority and the subscriptions will come.

In the end, I think Gyutae is winning the web by far. You can tell by looking at his blog and the number of subscribers he has picked up within the last month or so. This blog should be exploding by next month if it isn’t already.
