Sanyo XGA Projector with Ultra-short Projection Distance!

Sanyo is coming out with a new projector that will allow you to project an XGA screen about as short as 3 inches.

This might be a great time for us to buy a blank poster and one of these for monitor.

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) — <Visual News> Sanyo has presented its ultra-short throw XGA projector ‘PLC-XL50′ in Korea market, which is able to get a bright, vibrant 80-inch diagonal image from a projector placed only 3 inches from the screen.

Supporting 2,000 ANSI lumens, it is great for conference rooms, and for spaces like storefront display windows where a conventional projector will not fit.

Porsche Wireless Mouse Baby!

A company in South Korea has launched their new portable Porsche 911 wireless mouse.  I don’t think these will ever make it to the States unless they did get some branding approval from Porsche or maybe they will pass as knockoffs.  (but the Porsches do look awfully real for mouse)

Well, last but not least, you do get to become a Porsche owner without spending 50 Gs with these.

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) — <Visual News> Most Vantech(www.vaax.co.kr) has presented its mini sports car-shaped wireless mouse ‘Minicute NANO 1600DPI’ in Korea market, which is designed for mini notebooks.

Equipped with a 2.4GHz Nano-receiver, the Minicute NANO mouse supports up to 1600dpi optical sensor. Suggested price is 39,000(KRW).

Korean JATY Navigation does Breathalyzer!

Korean JATY Navigation does Breathalyzer!

Here’s an innovative idea for all future navigation systems, to include a breathalyzer.  How many DUI convictions would we save for an extra sensor and some stupid program that’d probably cost the navigation manufacturer extra 5 bucks?

At least, we know exactly what “level” we are on before driving.

Those crazy Koreans have brought out a new auto toy to tell if you’re fit to drive after a few jars of the sauce. Yes, the JATY DR7200 doubles as a breathalyzer as well as a GPS buddy, MP3 player, ebook reader, DMB television device, games console and all round modern day motoring Swiss Army Knife.

Garmin’s Nuvifone will be manufactured by ASUS!

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Gadgets, cell phones by max on the June 19th, 2008 at 3:19 pm

Remember the Garmin Nuvifone?  Well, it seems like ASUS will be making them, not Garmin.

Is this a good news?

I guess, ASUS seems to be tackling every part of gadget business now including cellphones.  Heck, Garmin’s never made cellphones before, just GPS…

Let’s see how the final products ends up.  (Probably shitty since it’s their first try, might be better to wait for Gamin’s Nuvifone 2, don’t become the guinea pig like the iPhone)

ASUS announced that it will manufacture Garmin’s first handset ‘nuvifone’ which is a one-of-a-kind device supporting cell phone, personal navigator and web browser.

Samsung WiMAX Wave2 Products!

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Educational, Gadgets, WiMax by max on the June 18th, 2008 at 8:16 am

Samsung WiMAX Wave2 Products!

Isn’t it great that Samsung has probably developed over couple hundred WiMAX devices in the last few years while we, in the U.S., don’t even get to see WiMAX yet?

But no worries, as soon as Sprint gets their stuff together, we should be able to take advantage of the numerous different WiMAX devices available already by Samsung.

The good news?

They just rolled out with WiMAX Wave2 products which is even faster than the standard WiMAX.

Whoo Hoo!  Do expect to be watching live streaming HD movies in the bus real soon with the new WiMAX.

The really good news?

The WiMAX technology has been tested abroad in Korea already with success.  It’s only matter of time before we get hands on one here.

Samsung Electronics announced today it has been awarded with the world’s first WiMAX Forum Wave2 certification for both ‘Base Station’ and ‘Mobile Station’ which support the 2.5GHz band, at the WiMAX Forum Global Congress 2008, in Amsterdam.

The Mobile WiMAX Certified products are commercial grade ‘Mobile WiMAX Wave2 Base Station’ and ‘Mobile Station,’ the Express card type device, using Samsung’s own Mobile WiMAX Wave2 modem chipset, which will be commercially used in the Sprint-Nextel Mobile WiMAX service later this year.

Posted in Computer, Consumer, Cool, Design, Gadgets, Laptop, World records by max on the June 16th, 2008 at 3:25 pm

Check out this awesome lookin’ laptop stand/cooler.  I have been looking for something like this but the great thing is that this laptop stand/cooler folds into a little box about the size of an adult’s hand.

This company also makes some other really cool lookin’ laptop stand/coolers.

cRadia(www.cradia.co.kr) introduced its portable notebook cooler ‘flex mini’ during Computex 2008, which can be used as a notebook stand to make your computing life a lot more comfortable.
