You know those telepromopters that TV news reporters use to read their daily news?  Well, here’s a simply way to make a teleprompter for any type of presentations.  (This one is an example for a church but I don’t see any reasons why you wouldn’t use it outside god’s house.)

1. Whatever you do…. no matter what…. and this is job #1 so pay attention…. always have a paper copy of your notes in your suit pocket.     Allow me to repeat myself — Have paper backup of your talk.    To sum up this point:  Make sure you have your notes on paper, and easily accessible in case your computer dies.
2. Write your talk, refine it and get it to the point where you would normally print it out as notes. In my case I work from a hybrid of a bullet point outline & written-out quotations.
3. Enter those notes,  page by page into a power point presentation.   Use huge font, as it is irrelevant how many slides/pages you use.
4. Get a “wireless presenter”    You plug a small receiver into any USB port, then hold the tiny clicker in your hand.  My clicker is 1-1/2 inch across, 3-1/2 inches long and about 1/2 inch thick.  It fits easily, and unobtrusively into your hand.   No one will even notice it.

It seems like more 1.5″ keychain digital photo frames are popping up everywhere these days.  There’s also some new executive 5.7″ Digital Picture Frames.

Image Moments 8-inch digital picture frame also comes with 450MB of storage, nice!  Funfab digital photo frame is also a photo printer.  Smartparts portable digital picture frame looks awesome with a metallic finish.

I keep banging this site about how badly iPhone or iPhone 3G is advertised.  Of course, most phones do the same thing and could be called “deceptive advertising” but in this case, it’s Apple for christ-sakes.

If they have to lie to consumers on their ads, there’s enough people to get mad enough to sue Apple.

I completely agree that Apple needs to reimburse customers for the slow AT&T 3G speeds and also for false advertising.

Even if 99% of people in the world don’t care, it’s plain and pretty easy to prove that iPhone 3G maybe one of the slowest PDAs out there.

Only if Steve Jobs decided to go with Sprint or Verizon, these lawsuits could have been avoided.

I foresee only more trouble for the iPhone 3G for the next couple months.  Steve Jobs hyped the “3G” speeds and features, yet consumers report back 3G as slow and not worth the extra features.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple’s products, just not their deceptive advertising which happend of lately.

Although I do have regrets about Steve Job’s decision to go with slow AT&T network, I have to say this iPhone cupcake looks really delicious.

Check out the Robocut, a lawnmower robot with Basic Stamp as controller.  You can even buy the kit so you can build one yourself.

Now, if you can get one of these DIY kits and make it solar, that’d be something to watch.

AT&T trying to

Well, it’s not new news that a telecommunication company is trying to scam consumers out of their rights through changes in service agreements.  I remember my credit card company sending me a new service agreement about 3 months after I signed up, now that’s a big scam.

Of course, as consumers we can’t really “prove” they are a scam unless we sue them together.

As for me, I am glad I got of the AT&T (Cingular back then) market.  My cable and internet is Comcast and I use Sprint for my Blackberry.

As for AT&T, I have decided to boycott them long time ago, the only reason I write this is to really bring them down where they belong and alert other consumers that they are a bad company.  (There, I said it in very plain English.)

Whether you decide to believe me or not is not my problem, but do look at that new AT&T agreement and you will finally understand you’ve been “had” again by the striped globe.

My personal suggestion is to boycott any company that sells you slow broadband internet service.  (Yes, I stick by facts and know AT&T itself is all about marketing and hype)

AT&T just sent out an 8,000-word update to its service agreement, and it’s full of all sorts of lovely, anti-customer things. For example, now people will only be given a 30-day notice of price increases when it’s “commercially reasonable.” Also, you can’t sue AT&T. In fact, according to the LA Times, the whole thing might go so far as to be illegal. Oh, AT&T.

iPhone modem application is here, which can turn your jailbroken iPhone into a broadband modem for your laptop or PC.

Why am I not impressed?

Well, this should be a standard feature on the iPhone.  Why should consumers have to go through the trouble of jailbreaking their phone?

Plus, AT&T’s broadband modem has proven to really suck in comparison to Sprint and Verizon.

Personally, I have a Blackberry 8830, which easily becomes a broadband modem using a USB connector.

In comparison to another PCMCIA broadband modem I have from Sprint, the speeds are about the same even with the Blackberry modem setup.

So what?

I don’t even have to try the iPhone Modem App, it can’t be faster than iPhone itself so it’s gotta be really really, really sloooowwww.

Now what?

If you are serious about doing business on the go, get a Blackberry, otherwise you can stick with your too-slow-iPhone-even-with-3G.
