Laminator machine using CUBLOC

Laminating machine based on Basic and Ladder processor…
Hmm…kinda cool, everyday I finding out things that people can make w/ CUBLOC…
This one uses CuBASE 64M board and CUBLOC CB290 from Comfile Technology.

Robot from Robo-One Competition in Japan

Here is an aspiring entry from the Robo-One competition in Japan the KHR-2 or “Layered X”. The robot walks on 4 feet but can instantly transform into a robot walking on 2 feet. Further more a modified KHR-2 can also be attached too, kind of like a Mini-Me which sits on its shoulders and performs co-ordinated moves.

Netscape rolls out with video and blog
Hmmm…it was youtube, google, yahoo, now Netscape video too…
Their blog site just opened on the 26th it seems like.
Yey~ more bloggers!
I tried it out and its pretty fast…
Update: I tried uploading wmv files but it won’t let me upload,
they will need to accept more video formats in the near future.
DIY - Equibot - Mini segway robot
Here’s mini version of Segway robot…using 2 Hitec servo motors Atmega32 mcu…
Yey, now I can make some cool robots that run on a segway structure!
DIY - Paint Roller Robot
Next time I need to paint my house, I need these… well i’d need a house first though…lol
Here is a good site on making robots out of very ordinary parts. This simple robot can be changed in a number of ways to do basically whatever you want it to do. This little robot is very simple. It simply uses an IR photo transistor connected to a 2N2222 transistor. This transistor is used to drive the motor. This schematic seems to put a lot of current through the photo transistor. I think, I would add a 100 ohm resistor in series with it.
Harmony Bionic Ear System
Hmm…cool biornic ears, great stuff~
Boston Scientific’s bionic ear gets FDA approval today, perfectly timed to save the hearing of Metallica fans rounding 40+. The piece delivers 120 spectral bands, which is 5-10 times more than the competition. Hmm…120 bands? I bet that makes the world sound as if it were in MIDI. The internal sound processor hooks into the brain, while the external processor automatically adjusts gain to make speech clearer, whispers audible, and keep the brain from exploding in the vicinity of loud noises.
Robot3 - Segway Humanoid Robot that can dance, run, and wake up at the right time!
Here’s a video, the robot seems to play good w/ kids…
Just in from Chosun news in Korea, robo3 just developed a robot based on Segway structure. The robot can dance, run, and wake you up in the morning. It has 2 axis control to balance itself and can detect surrounding objects and obstacles.
The robot can be remote-controlled or manually driven. The controller being used in the robot is a touch PLC from Comfile Technology, where I work, I didn’t even know you could make something like this…
Yes, it can be customized and programmble via RS232 it says…
Hmmm, maybe I can convince them to send me a sample…
It seems like the company also sells the segway platform for building robots w/ any embedded computers…
I guess you can get one now, the pictures seems to suggest either the robot can drink a beer or maybe it can bring you a beer… (better!)
The segway robot uses ultrasonic sensors, has 28 digital inputs, 26 relay outputs, sound, voice, dancing capabilities.
It weighs 80 kg but the battery on it can last upto 8 hours.
The robot is controlled via a remote controller or in automatic mode. Average operating speed is
around 4km/hr. Hmm…pretty cool…

Nokia to ship 8GB hard drive music phone by year’s end
Nice phonE~
The N91 8GB can also play MP3, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+ tracks, as can the other handsets in the line-up. Nokia said it was bundling an update version of its PC Suite data synchronisation software with Music Manager rip and transfer code.
The N70 and N73 incorporate 1GB and 2GB of memory, respectively. That’s more than the non-Music Edition versions, but Nokia didn’t indicate whether the extra comes from bundled Micro SD cards or is on-board storage.
