Well, I’ve tried it out and was very disappointed that all they did was capture some TV white noise and put it on their site.
That said, SimplyNoise will need to provide other types of white noise such as a mother’s womb to get the site more popular.
I mean, who likes to listen to white noise on TV anyways?
Google Talk for the iPhone

Google Talk is now available for the iPhone without any modifications other than pointing your Safari browser to www.google.com/talk.
There are some differences from using Google Talk on your computer. For instance, in order to receive instant messages with Google Talk on your iPhone, the application needs to be open in your Safari browser. When you navigate away to another browser window or application, your status will be changed to “unavailable” and your Google Talk session will be restarted when you return.
GoogleMaps working on Voice Search with Blackberries

Google is working on voice search functions with their GoogleMaps on Blackberries. Now, this is really old news as I have covered Microsoft’s TellMe service which does exact same thing for more Blackberries except using Microsoft’s LIVE search and LIVE maps.
Now, in the long run, I would predict Google win this voice-search race since Google does have better search engine and better maps.
Google Media Server bridges the gap between Google and your TV!

Google has just announced their new Google Media Server, which supposedly bridges the gap between Google and your TV or any UPnP devices such as PS3.
It looks like a great way to organize your media files in your PC, especially if you are displaying them to your TV or simply want to access them from your PS3, XBOX, whatever.
Google Media Server is a Windows application that aims to bridge the gap between Google and your TV. It uses Google Desktop technology such as Desktop gadgets for the administration tool and Google Desktop Search to locate media files. All you need is a PC running Google Desktop and a UPnP-enabled device (e.g. a PlayStation 3). At the touch of a button, you can then:
* Access videos, music, and photos stored on your PC
* View Picasa Web Albums
* Play your favorite YouTube videos

RAMBack will cause Firefox to issue an internal notification to free up memory that is otherwise held for performance purposes. Additional items will be hooked into this notification in the future.
How to Geo-Map your Movies!

With Seero, I guess you can even geo-map your movies. It’s interesting as this movie is based on San Francisco streets and I know where they shot it.
It’d be way cool if all new movies came out with a PiP screen of Google Maps showing the location. (maybe one day when Google starts buying theaters…)
I’m a huge fan of ‘the king of cool’ and of all movie car-chase scenes. I thought it would be great to mashup famous chases with their GPS tracks. Keep in mind some of the chases cut from one place to another…so I tried to be as accurate as possible. Enjoy!
Online Service lets Blind Surf the Internet from any Computer!
Here’s a cool new service that lets blind people surf the internet from any computer. To use it, the person must be using a Windows PC and type the URL address of the website in order to get to it.
Provided that audio is working on the PC and there’s not internet connection problems, it should be a great solution. Well, it’s a website really.
New software, called WebAnywhere, launched today lets blind and visually impaired people surf the Web on the go. The tool developed at the University of Washington turns screen-reading into an Internet service that reads aloud Web text on any computer with speakers or headphone connections.
“This is for situations where someone who’s blind can’t use their own computer but still wants access to the Internet. At a museum, at a library, at a public kiosk, at a friend’s house, at the airport,” said Richard Ladner, a UW professor of computer science and engineering. The free program and both audio and video demonstrations are at http://webanywhere.cs.washington.edu.
