Check out this cool Stonehedge robotic clock. It’s really something when you use the latest technology to re-make something old as the stonehedge. - Link to Norris Labs the creator
Stonehenge uses a CrustCrawler Smart Arm and a Parallax Propeller chip to display the current time. All the digits needed to display the time are located on cards positioned in a semi-circle around the left and right sides of the arm. The time itself is displayed in front of the arm. This gives the clock a “Stonehenge” like appearance. There are a total of 14 cards. Each card has two digits with one on each side. The software planner determines which card and which side is needed to display the time and then sends the necessary movement commands to the arm.
Video of A380 Airplane Taking Off
Here’s a cool video of the A380 taking off. (See this post for what an A380 looks like inside)
I can’t wait to get a seat in one of these airplanes.
The cam feed can be shown on the seat-back displays and gives you an almost Superman-like view of the aircraft from 79-feet up at the top of the tail. It’s pretty amazing watching the behemoth aircraft surge slowly down the runway and into the air… and there’s another vid, showing it landing in to SFO as part of the recent Emirates tour.
Waboba Ball - Water-Bouncing Ball!
Here’s a really cool ball that can bounce on water. What’s up with the music? They really need to change the music if they want to increase sales.
The Waboba ball, which is about the size of a golf ball, has taken off around the world after videos were posted on YouTube.
Made of a combination of plastics with a lycra coating, it is described as having the consistency of a breast implant.
Some Cool Hacks for GMail, GoogleDocs, and more!
Lifehacker has a new post that features some cool hacks for GMail, GoogleDocs, and some other hacks you can’t miss.
Are you using Google Spreadsheets as your web-based spreadsheet editor alternative to desktop programs like Excel? If you do, give the “magic” auto-completions a try. To understand what this does, enter “Superman” in the top left cell, and enter “Batman” and “Wonder Woman” in the cells below. Now select all three cells you created. Hold down the Ctrl key, and drag the bottom right corner of the selection downwards over the other cells. Notice something? Your list is now continued with entries like “spider man”, “x men”, “green lantern”. (Admittedly, not all continuations make sense—”star wars”?—but where would be the fun in magic without surprises.)
RideMaster - Virtual Horseback Riding Trainer!

If you are into riding horses, you will not want to miss out on the RideMaster,a virtual reality for horseback riding. They even got racing-horse simulators and polo simlators for advanced riders.
The £40,000 virtual reality riding machine combines a mechanical horse with a host of electronic sensors and a screen, to recreate the joys of an outdoor ride without the need for mucking out.
The Ridemaster Pro, which is made by Racewood Simulators, is proving a hit with those who live in cities or who want to ride but don’t want to brave the elements.
Designer and company managing director Bill Greenwood said: “Private individuals buy them who don’t have space for a horse in central London.

DIY LED Dragon with Fire Animation!

Check out the LED Dragon, kind of a cool DIY project if you know how to engrave glass.
I have to say that even I was surprised how well the dragon version turned out. Three very simple flames and bit of light and magic can really spice up the engraving. And this was the whole point of this project.
It took only minutes to engrave the flames but I have to admit that it took way longer that I expected to get all the taping done, leds mounted and hooked up. On top of all this, it was pain to keep all the layers clean during the assembly.
