Okay, I will have to tell you the truth tonight about one of the biggest social networking sites, SpambleUpon, or most people call it, StumbleUpon.

They are making so much money off bloggers, basically StumbleUpon “scrapes” bloggers’ content and makes millions of dollars off you! Even though no one has really “sued” them, they are in big trouble if bloggers start sueing them one by one.

Google should really ban them for “splogging”, every one of SU users’ blogs are “splogs” made up of content written by bloggers like you and me. (My traffic actually boosted after SU banned me, I think I was getting penalized for duplicate content by using SU. Besides, don’t rely on backstabbing social networks who make millions dollars off your content and simply ban you later for “spamming”??? Are you kidding? Go look at my DIYs, they are all original. Lol…at least my blog isn’t full of splogs. Here’s a post you can read about how to protect yourself against splogs although it won’t work with SU.)

Why?

Well, every “blog”, they say, is a “splog”, every image consisting of an image scraped off a “copyright protected” blog (Mind you, every “blog” is actually naturally protected from scraping, this site has about 10 other sites’ images w/o their written permission) . So, we simply took at the most top-left blog on their “Top Stumbler” list.

Well here it is:

As you can see, the image is “scraped” off another “original” blog. If you go to any of their “splogs”, the results is the same. They almost store 0% of their “splogs” images on their servers and simply scrape and live off other blogs. SU is like a real big mosquito that lives off your blood, your blog post that “you” wrote and uploaded images. Their future will only rely on other bloggers’ content and NEVER their own.

So, what can you do?

You can always file a “copyright enfrigement” notice and lawsuit to SU, which their headquarters addresses I couldn’t even find, AND uninstall that hideous toolbar that takes too much of your life, time, and 50 pixels of height on your browser. (Most of their admins are “fake” people behind stupid 50×50 pixel images. They “pretend” they created a special technology when I could re-create a similar service within days.)

Then, simply head over to SiteHoppin, where every site is not “splogged” and is simply “bookmarked”.

Okay, here’s the 5 second wrap up:

1. Every blog on StumbleUpon is a “splog” made up of scraped images and text from other blogs

2. The only reason they don’t get sued is because they send websites traffic and a lot of website owners are happy about that.

3. Every blog in the world has now a “copyright enfringement” against SpambleUpon. If your content is on SU, you deserve the right to sue them for scraping your content.

Now, we don’t have to sue them. You do. So, in all, just stay away from these SpambleUpon guys and stick with the American Dream, SiteHoppin, where “real” developers develop w/o scraping bloggers’ content.

Now maybe we may be a little bitter but at least we fight for our right to be conscious about the “real truth” behind everything. Yeah, SU fucked up this time bad….real bad…let the truth be known even if you do continue to use SU, you will remember this when you get banned.

In recent encounter with StumbleUpon, we have received about the same amount of traffic regardless. As you can see in the above graph, StumbleUpon only really helps those with small traffic. With out latest press release, we will be suing StumbleUpon for Copyright enfringement. That’s right. They don’t have the guts to take it outside and get their ass beat by me so I will have to take them to court. Thanks a lot SU, for leaving that copyright enfringement on forever, which I have already copied on to my harddrive, servers, my 4gb flash, ipod, you name it bitch.

On top of it, they used some “under-the-table” methods to take my rankings to zero on Alexa although my StatCounter.com says I have the same amount of traffic.

Why would a web giant bought by eBay go through this? I think they are dumb, that’s my honest opinion. No matter what, they will never stop Zedomax.com from saying what’s true and what’s not. The truth? I helped them gain more stumblers and visitors. That’s right. I controlled the black market of SU simply by providing them with more traffic. Yet, they have the balls to go against me for helping them and they listen to their stupid ass “spam” stumblers more than loyal customers like me.

Don’t worry, we are gonna sue them for copyright enfringement. That’s right. They took my whole post of writing and put it on their main SU discussion page. I already copied most it so, don’t even bother erasing. You guys are fucked as hell for disturbing a blog/wiki/social network business.

The lesson learn here?

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Go digg, stumble, reddit, and make it the same. Don’t depend on one big guy, because one day, he will fuck you over like SU did to me. At least, I got something to sue them big time.

Why BlogRush will die and SiteHoppin will exponentially grow!

Remember I did a review of Blogrush and Entrecard right before Entrecard started taking off?

Well, here’s why BlogRush will die and SiteHoppin will exponentially grow! (Sorry John, we are just using your site as comparison, no pun intended)

1. SiteHoppin is like a dog. Well, here’s how I got that analogy. I don’t own a dog but I do love dogs and my parents have dogs. During the last few days I was taking care of Za, my girlfriend’s brother’s dog, I have come to realize that SiteHoppin is like a dog who takes a leak here and there so other dogs can find it and mark their territory.

What the heck does that have to do with exponentially growing? Well, dogs like to mark their territories everywhere they go. They will only “mark” their spots in certain location they sense the “smell”. I don’t know how they do it. But it’s how dogs interact or communicate with each other. Basically, every time you take a leak, you are leaving a trace for the other dogs.

Well, SiteHoppin is no different. Every time you visit a site on SiteHoppin, you are marking your territory on someone’s site. Those site owners find out through site stats and get to know SiteHoppin and start using it to promote their sites. You can see some of the stats here to see what I mean here on the new SiteHoppin blog.

So, what the heck is the point of the story? Nothing. We are thanking everyone who has signed up for SiteHoppin’ and we promise the first-comers will get massive traffic in return.

As you can see in the above graph, we should be able to eclipse BlogRush very soon if our traffic keeps rising. In just 7 days since our public beta launch, we have gained at least 50% as much as traffic as Blogrush. There’s been a lot of questions regarding our new site, SiteHoppin’, so I will show you briefly how it will virally increase a blog’s traffic.

Instead of typing URL or using a bookmarking system like Del.icio.us, users will start using SiteHoppin’ to tag their favorite sites and go “site hoppin’” daily.

How will increase traffic for your blog? Well, simply, if you submit your blog to SiteHoppin with the tag.

The greatest part is that it doesn’t end there. Since SiteHoppin’ also has “random” hopping feature for non-bloggers or people who want to simply hop new sites, your blog will randomly show up at various different times.

As user base grows on SiteHoppin’, blogs who are in the system will automatically benefit from users randomly “hopping” onto their blogs.

The more blogs that exist on SiteHoppin’, the more it will be advertised and the more traffic it will bring to blogs.

This effect will probably go virally crazy and we just hope blog don’t take over the whole SiteHoppin’.

Drunken Update and Drunken Development

As I am running out of money to live and keep up websites, it’s seems like getting drunk everyday helps me forget all that.

On top of all that, I am so drunk off my mind while trying to develop our new site, SiteHoppin.com.

The reason? Well, you need to be able to be in the same mind frame as someone who’d be using the site and the site is all about having a beer in your hand while you go “site hoppin’”. So the developer needs to be highly drunk before trying to put content, which means I gotta get drunk out of my mind before I start editing any PHP code for the site.
This does remind me of the “drunken style” Kong Fu, which focuses on the fact that you confuse your enemy through your drunkenness…

On the bright side, SiteHoppin is the first site in the world ever to convert a MediaWiki into a social networking site. (by a professional drunk who can gulp down 3 Soju bottles in any day…)

Anyways, this is an honest drunken update and development update while gulping down a nice bottle of Soju. If you don’t know what Soju is, you should take a look at my Soju tree. Well, my Soju tree has grown a lot bigger now, I will post an update soon about it.

We did get the new “Tag Browing” function working but too lazy to update the site as it’s still the 3rd of January. We should have it up by tomorrow so you can “tag browse” blogs and save time.

Google’s Knol Project Update – Lots of BUZZ on the Internet

Wow, it seems like search results for “Knol Project” is multiplying at the rate of every hour! It’s amazing how no one has really even tried this new Knol Project yet, there’s so much buzz going around the internet. We think Knol Project will be basically Google’s new knowledge database that will add nicely to their portfolio of search knowledge database.

Although we predict that Knol Project will never be close to Wikipeidia’s mass collaboration of information, Google’s new Knul Project could prove to be pivotal in providing useful information from authoratative sources such as real doctors and real professionals who practice their content, instead of having random people contributing to articles like Wikipedia.

We predict that their search results will still honor Wikipedia’s authority as long as Knol’s content isn’t any better. But if Knol proves otherwise, Wikipedia could be on its way to slow and tortourous death. (We doubt that though…)

Google’s Knol Project Update – Lots of BUZZ on the Internet

EntreCard WINS – EntreCard beats BlogRush in Alexa Reach, Rankings, and Traffic!

UPDATE, don’t use Entrecard, they are backstabbing type of people.

Entrecard and Blogrush both have customer service problems. Blogrush died already and Entrecard will too soon.

Lately, I’ve been keeping a keen eye on my friend Graham Langdon, creator of Million Dollar Wiki. He has created a new site called EntreCard that allows bloggers to advertise for free on other blogger’s blogs. Basically, bloggers can trade 125×125 pixel ad spots.

Today, I got up and looked up on Alexa and found that EntreCard has finally beaten BlogRush in the numbers of Reach, Rankings, AND TRAFFIC!

As an evangelist user of EntreCard, I was really happy like I just snorted a line of cok* of something. (not that i do drugs….)

Here’s the wrap up:

As you can see, what EntreCard is doing is taking over BlogRush and its customers. It’s going to be a horrible slow death for BlogRush but who knows? Maybe they will get enough bad publicity out it and come back alive by copying EntreCard’s ideas.

Here we look at the Daily traffic Rank Trend for BlogRush vs. EntreCard. EntreCard clearly beats BlogRush and they are STILL on their way up whereas BlogRush is again, dying slowly.

The last graph shows Page Views for EntreCard vs. BlogRush. As you can see here, the problem with BlogRush is that once you put their widget, there is no other community groups or actions you can do whereas EntreCard is a vibrant blogger community where bloggers are actively trading invisible business cards.

Our prediction from last time is becoming more true and true.

This is the letter from John Reese that really pissed me off and I stopped using BlogRush:

We’ll be applying some quality guidelines and criteria to our
decision-making process. (We’ll be publishing these guidelines very
soon.) If a blog does not meet our guidelines and criteria, THEY
WILL BE REJECTED from the network and not allowed to join — i.e.
they won’t be able to serve our widget, refer other users, or have
their blog posts distributed across our network. They will have no
access to any BlogRush services.

Our members, like YOU, made it LOUD AND CLEAR to us… BlogRush needs
to only have members that have quality blog content — not blogs
filled primarily with ads and other spammy looking JUNK.

The only accurate way we’re going to keep these junk blogs out of our
network is to REVIEW EVERY SINGLE ONE BY HAND. And we’re willing to
do it to protect the integrity of our network. I don’t care what it
costs us to hire more people (if we need them) to review 100% of any
blog trying to join our network. We will be reviewing ALL OF THEM
from here on out.

Here’s what I say, “Take your stupid hype and your hype traffic and put it up your as*!”.

I don’t need the founder of a website telling me their technology sucks so much that they have to review every blog by hand (Is that like Web 0.5?). With a stupid founder like that, BlogRush will never succeed.

What BlogRush should have done:

BlogRush should have hired 3 PHP developers and tell them to develop a spider hack that checks for the language of the site and validity by checking values like Alexa rankings, Technorati rankings, etc…etc… Heck, I can even do this but I don’t have to send out a freaking 10 page email wasting everyone’s time.

Why are we so bitter? Don’t take it too seriously. (Remember our motto? Satiric opinions on Gadgets and Tech…Lol…)

Knols Project Followup – Google’s Knol Project reminds me of a Paid Wiki

Great thing that Google has come up with the Knols Project. (I think it’s pronounced “nol’s project” right?) It’s totally like the Million Dollar Wiki concept except they have more money and power to get “authoratative” writers on their content.

How is it like a paid wiki?

Well, Google offer revenue sharing as stated in their blog:

At the discretion of the author, a knol may include ads. If an author chooses to include ads, Google will provide the author with substantial revenue share from the proceeds of those ads.

Wow, that IS a paid wiki, just like the QuarterWiki and the One Buck Wiki. The only difference is that you don’t have to pay for pages in the beginning. I believe this is due to Google’s enourmous status as an Internet Giant with billions of dollars to spend on moderators, developers, and what not. We wish we could too but no we have to charge a small fee for each page.

Plus, there’s “one author” per page, just like the paid wikis. Google might have ripped off those ideas…

Regardless, this is a definite sign that Wikis are going to start taking over the world. (and Google will try to take over the world, literally…)

We encourage you to try out the new Knols Project if you do get an invitation and when they launch, we strongly suggest you take advantage of Google’s offer of revenue sharing.

Google is trying to compete with Wikipedia with its new Knols Project. We don’t know how successful it will be as we have seen Google Video and Youtube before.

But one thing is for sure, Google is trying to get into the Wiki business. (Knol Project is very similar to our QuarterWiki, OneBuckWiki, EntreWiki, FiveDollarWiki, and other wikis that we are developing right now.)

The interface does look pretty neat from the screenshot here:

What amazes us is that we are trying to build the largest commercialized Wiki with our new QuarterWiki but Google is also making similar site. We don’t intend to compete with Google of course, but we think we are going in the right direction if the Big Guy thinks so too.

But unless you got an invite, you can’t access it. Does anyone want to give us an invite? We’d like to incorporate Knols’ features on our paid wiki sites before Knols’ launch date. Lol…we are being too honest here huh?

Here’s what the Google Knol Project is briefly about:

Knols will include strong community tools. People will be able to submit comments, questions, edits, additional content, and so on. Anyone will be able to rate a knol or write a review of it. Knols will also include references and links to additional information. At the discretion of the author, a knol may include ads. If an author chooses to include ads, Google will provide the author with substantial revenue share from the proceeds of those ads.

Once testing is completed, participation in knols will be completely open, and we cannot expect that all of them will be of high quality. Our job in Search Quality will be to rank the knols appropriately when they appear in Google search results. We are quite experienced with ranking web pages, and we feel confident that we will be up to the challenge. We are very excited by the potential to substantially increase the dissemination of knowledge.

We do not want to build a walled garden of content; we want to disseminate it as widely as possible. Google will not ask for any exclusivity on any of this content and will make that content available to any other search engine.

As always, a picture is worth a thousands words, so an example of a knol is below (click on the image twice to see the page in full). The main content is real, and we encourage you to read it (you may sleep better afterwards!), but most of the meta-data — like reviews, ratings, and comments — are not real, because, of course, this has not been in the public eye as yet. Okay, here’s a simple way to get more traffic to your site by making friends on StumbleUpon.com.

Here’s how to do it:

1) Make friends on StumbleUpon.com with people who have similar interests as you do.

2) Once you have a good number of friends, use the “Send to” button and send your friends the site you want to bring more traffic to.

3) Next, send them an honest message of what you want them to do such as, “Can you stumble this?”.

4) Watch as your friends stumble your sites and your traffic spikes to extra 300 to 500 people per day.

5) Your friends will probably ask you to stumble their sites too. Make sure to return favors.

This is a great way since you can make lots of friends and network with other stumblers to promote your website and their websites.

Basically, you scratch their back and they scratch yours.

Why BlogRush will die and EntreCard will exponentially grow!

Update: Don’t use Entrecard, they are not to be trusted.

Here’s a quick post I did on the Net: (Digg It) Reason for this? I feel bitter about BlogRush about them saying crap about how people are cheating and on top it, I like this Graham Langdon guy, he’s a nice guy and a gentlemen.

I have been keeping a keen eye on the new project by creator of Million Dollar Wiki, Graham Langdon. His new EntreCard, a free widget for bloggers, allows bloggers to advertise and trade 125×125 pixel ads for free. The above is a Alexa web traffic charts comparing BlogRush and EntreCard. As you can see, BlogRush did get MASSIVE traffic in the beginning and slowly on its way downhill. On the other hand, EntreCard started very very SLOW, and seems to have caught up with BlogRush already. Once EntreCard gets out to even more bloggers, the viral effect will cause EntreCard to exponentially grow. Am I an EntreCard evangelist? Hell yes, because it’s a great advertising system built on great functionalities unlike BlogRush.

Now, you can see a close-up of what’s been happening between EntreCard and BlogRush in the last 4 weeks. I bet it won’t be more than 2 weeks before EntreCard eclipses BlogRush. What will happen to BlogRush? It will probably die and suffer massively while EntreCard “converts” BlogRush users to its own.
