TSA Closes Terminals Over a DIY Mint Tin Project!

TSA recently closed one of its terminals due to a bomb threat (or so they thought it was) and calls in the bomb squad and the FBI.   Of course, this wasn’t actually a bomb but a DIY mint tin project.

The Omaha Police Department’s bomb squad was called after a suspicious-looking item was found in a carry-on bag shortly before noon at the airport’s north checkpoint in Terminal B.

Screening operations were suspended, and the B concourse was evacuated. Operations were not disrupted in Terminal A, according to a Transportation Security Administration official.

With advances in technology and cheaper home surveillance for consumers these days, burglars are having a lot more trouble keeping their jobs as this latest incident depicts the owner being 1700 miles away yet he managed to contact the local police department and send them the burglars’ screenshots.

Upon arriving to the home of the owner, the police were able to catch the burglars.

Yup, they were idiots.

Btw, you could probably setup a really cheap home surveillance with a cheap computer tucked away hooked up to Skype.

It’s probably not worth it your time to hack a Verizon MiFi but here’s a great blog post showing you that it can be done and vulnerabilities that exist within the default Verizon WPA settings.
